Pastors who think that the civil authorities will not touch them, need to reconsider and learn from the not to distant history; the 20th century alone will do. If you think that is too complicated then learn what happened to the faithful pastors who opposed Hitler’s vision for Germany. The Christian church that looked to men for their messiah destroyed their nation and others with them. Pastors must stop delivering superficial teaching and see themselves as God sees them and know what He expects from them.
