As Christians, our primary purpose for existing should be to give glory and pleasure to God. If the focus for our lives—and our worship services—is to radiate the glory of God, then we become "road signs," pointing people toward God.

Likewise, as we enter a new year, we face entirely new and uncertain situations. But rather than being pessimists, we should be "biblical realists," because God is in control.

Jesus was born into a world that—then, and now—had no room for Him. But His humble birth showed that He was accessible. The people, even the religious leaders, could find him easily if they so desired. And that's just as true today as it was then: Jesus is accessible to all.
