Faith overcomes fear and today we see Moses in the back side of the desert where he is at his weakest point possible. It is at that point that God would say, "Moses, now you are available to be used."

One of our most important freedoms is the power and ability to make choices. What we choose is absolutely critical to the ultimate outcomes and the impact in the results of our choices. We will look at tough choices and sacrifices that Moses made by faith based on an eternal value system.

Imagine being in a position that gave you access to all kinds of wealth and power. If that position conflicted with God's call on your life, would you be able to give it up? Faith allows us to trust God through all kinds of trials, even when things don't make logical sense. When God asked Abraham to sacrifice his beloved son Isaac, it didn't make logical sense, yet Abraham was willing to trust God and sacrifice his son. How can this same type of faith be developed in our lives?

Abraham waited many years before he was able to hold the son that God had promised him. In addition, certain promises were not fulfilled during his lifetime, yet he continued to believe that God would keep His word. Holding on to faith is difficult at times when we cannot see how God is working, but we can't give up because God is faithful and we can trust Him.

Can you imagine God calling you at the age of 50 to move to the Sahara Desert? Abraham was 75 when God told him to leave the city of Ur and move to the land of Canaan. Abraham didn’t know all the details of what lay ahead, but he obeyed God and went.

Can you imagine building a huge ark that could be seen for miles and yet was miles away from the nearest ocean? When Noah built the ark, he stood out, but his obedience to God saved him and his family. Our obedience to God may cause us to stand out or even seem ridiculous to a non-believing world, but in the end, it will definitely be worth it.
