Just as God commands a day off, He expects us to be working the rest of the week. We need to remember our responsibility to engage in both. Rest is good, but so is work.

God gave the command to rest one day a week because He knows we need it. Still, some people pride themselves on never taking a day off. But, as the scripture shows, God takes this command seriously.

The Third Commandment forbids the use of God’s name as a swear word. But it’s more than just that. God’s name reveals His character, and to curse someone using God’s name is contrary to who He is.
