Joseph in the Old Testament is similar in many ways to Jesus Christ. Joseph was falsely accused by Potiphar’s wife; Jesus was falsely accused of crimes against Rome.

The character of Joseph has many similarities to Jesus Christ. Joseph was uniquely loved by his father Jacob; at Jesus’ baptism, God said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

God restored the family of Jacob, and He caused all Jacob’s enemies to be at peace with Him. When God restores, He always seeks to bring us to the highest level. We are the ones who settle for less.
