July 18, 2007

Cain tried to worship God on his own terms, in essence, creating his own religion. Similarly today, men still try to create their own religion and individual path to God. Skip Heitzig begins a new series of teachings called Running with Champions. Hebrews 11 commemorates men and women who are considered champions of faith. When we read their stories, we may feel that we can never live up to the standards they set. Instead of feeling intimidated, we can find encouragement from their stories, for the same God who enabled them to live a life of faith is more than capable to enable us as well.
