The Book of 2 Samuel, Part 43&44
As we open up the pages of 2Samuel, we see that the main personality we are dealing with is King David, a complicated man of extremes. At times he appears so wise, so discerning, and yet, at other times, his actions, and his sins are surprising as they initially surpass our understanding.
He is hard to figure out. He is the shepherd with a such a great heart and so much faith and love. He is also the artist, the poet, the musician, and he is endowed with exceptional political and administrative abilities. He is also the soldier, at times the merciless warrior yet at other times extending mercy as he did for example, with Jonathan’s son.
With so many contradictions and inconsistencies in his life, we ask; how could he commit such grave sins and yet have such an influence in the Bible?
When we think we have the answer to man’s condition, to the state of his heart and God’s resolve, we must be stirred to remember the words of God in Jeremiah; who can know the heart of man? (Jer. 17:9).
Welcome to the Book of 2Samuel. Be blessed as you listen in to these messages given by Pastor J. Issac Gabizon.

Prophecies take up about ¼ of the Scriptures so we cannot simply ignore them. Knowing prophecy enables us to give a clear presentation to others of why things unfold the way they do in such areas as politics, morality, technology and global ecological changes. It also helps us to rightly place Israel in God’s prophetic plan.
