1 Samuel 7 is a fascinating chapter in the Bible. Samuel has led Israel back to the Lord and while they are gathered at Mizpah, praying and fasting, Israel's enemies, the Philistines, heard they had gathered and came to attack them. Rather than running, Israel prayed all the more and cried out to the Lord. The Bible says in 1 Samuel 7 that God brought a supernatural victory for Israel that day. In week 3 of Burning in my Soul, Pastor Chad shows how Satan will attack our lives when we get serious about God. When those times, just like Israel, we are not to run or hide. We are to gather and pray all the more.

When the men of 2 Kings 6 lost a borrowed axe head, it halted the work they were doing. Their progress had to stop. The man of God, Elisha, asked them, "where did it fall?" When they showed him, he threw a stick in the Jordan River and that act of obedience caused the iron axe head to float. In this sermon, Pastor Chad challenges us with the same question, "Where did you lose it?" Where did your spiritual growth stop? Where did your growth come to a halt?
