What are your thoughts on “training to be godly”? Who is Melchizedek? What are your thoughts on behavior passages?

Can a believer lose salvation? Was Paul’s Romans 7 struggle before or after his conversion? How should we interpret the sin of eating with doubt in Romans 14? Is anger a sin? What about “coarse jesting”? Is Peter’s dream in Acts 10 referring to all foods being clean? What is “progressive sanctification” and where does it fall short?

To what extent should I forgive my friend who hurt me repeatedly? Does forgiving her mean I need to still spend as much time with her? Can unbelievers participate in the Lord’s Supper? What about those with repetitive sins? What about children? What is “the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12)?

Must we confess our sins to be saved? What does it mean to be dead to sin? Faith without works is dead? How is the new covenant relationship with the Holy Spirit different from what Old Testament believers experienced? What should we think about prophecies concerning future animal sacrifices?

Are humans either in Adam or in Christ? And what if someone in Christ no longer wants to be in Christ? Why is God’s grace so important? I don’t feel Christ anymore, is there something wrong with what I am doing?

Will every believer hear the same thing from God on judgment day? How are believers made holy? And can an unbelieving spouse be made holy through their spouse? Do we need cleansing each day?

Do we need to ask God for forgiveness each time we sin? What does it mean that God is not served by human hands? My mother was a believer who struggled with drugs. Is she saved? Is Jesus the only way to be saved? Do we have to maintain our salvation?

Will there be pets in heaven? Who was Melchizedek? What does 1 John have to say about love for believers versus hate for them?

“So speak and so act as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty. For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.” (James 2:12-13) Tim from Canada called in to our radio broadcast to ask about this challenging passage from James 2, especially the phrase “judgment will be merciless.” In this short video clip, I give some context to this difficult passage and talk about what it means to be a believer living under the “law of liberty.”

Is there a second blessing? Is it possible that some of us are saved but we still need to “get the Holy Spirit”? Gary from Florida called in to our radio program to ask this question. In this short video clip from the program, I address Gary’s concern about whether or not believers really have “everything we need for life and godliness.”
