Allen Jackson: Well, good evening and welcome to Nashville. I'm Alan Jackson. What's happening in France right now is being described by some as a cautionary tale for America. What started as protest over overcrowded classrooms, teacher shortages, and deteriorating schools, well, it's grown into something much larger and much more violent with fires in the streets, attacks on police, thousands arrested, and officers injured. President Trump argues that the deeper instability cannot be separated from years of the open border policies that Europe embraced. And that argument matters because France, like much of Western Europe, has experienced decades of large-scale immigration from North Africa, the Middle East, and other parts of the Muslim world.

Well, the question critics have been asking for years is whether political leaders became so committed to multiculturalism that they stopped insisting that newcomers become part of the society they entered. Well, now let's turn to America because the Biden years also brought sharply higher levels of immigration from Muslim majority nations. The Cato Institute reported monthly immigration from 45 majority Muslim countries of more than 22,000 a month at its peak in 2024 to near zero after Trump took office. Well, now consider what would happen if Democratic Socialist candidates win in the midterms and they follow through on policies that favor sanctuary cities, resisting ice, and minimal restrictions on migration.

Meanwhile, the left just picked up a major midterm endorsement from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. The IRGC published a report telling Americans, telling Americans to vote the GOP out of power in November. Imagine that the mullahs of Iran are echoing the same guidance spewed by much of our mainstream media. We live in a lopsided world. Our nation is a very unique experiment in human civilization. There's never been anything quite like it. But that experiment came under attack during the Biden administration. We witnessed an intentional dismantling of boundaries and borders. It was all wrapped in a great deal of language that suggests compassion that an open border is the ultimate expression of that compassion.

Well, I like to remind you that anything that begins with illegal typically doesn't lead to a good outcome. The changes that an open border has already made in our country are simply staggering. Our healthcare system have have been fundamentally changed. Emergency rooms don't provide the same function they did just a decade ago, and that's changed primarily to accommodate the tens of millions of people who are here without citizenship. We can't live in just complete defiance of the law and imagine that will bring good things to us. We have a culture that wants to tell us that we determine what's true, that no one can define my truth.

Folks, that's simply an irrational statement. You see, we see subjective truth manifest with elected officials, city mayors who escalate lawlessness in their own communities. We have DSA candidates who don't just push to defund the police, but to abolish the police and to completely eradicate ice. We have been a nation of laws. We have been a people under authority, but now we are teetering. Have some of our elected officials been seduced by the notion of peaceful Islam? It's frequently described that way to us. Where around the world it consistently represents authoritarian, dictatorial, brutal regimes of violence.

Women are not treated anywhere remotely as equals. Citizens are overburdened by taxes. It's just economic servitude. We are being willfully ignorant if we can't see it begin to take shape in the minds of young people across our university campuses. While they're also being taught the virtues of socialism. As Christ followers, we can't shelter in place and hide inside the walls of a church building. Our faith has to be lived beyond the walls of our worship services. Our faith must go to work with us. Our faith must go to school with us. Now, your family of origin goes to work and to school, whether intentional or not, it's part of who you are as a person.

Well, in the same way, our Christian faith, it has to go with us. The Bible teaches us that we're a new creation in Christ. We're part of the family of God. And by that same logic, that's our family of origin. The understandings of those relationships, perspectives, and values, they go with us into every environment. When you enter the academic world or the professional world or even with just friends, let's take our Christian values and our biblical worldview with us more into with more intentionality and purposefulness than we've ever done before. For people that resist us from doing that, we need to treat that notion as just absurd.

In this day and age, if you come to work with a list of your preferred pronouns, it's demanded in most corporate settings that they be respected. In fact, it's a badge of honor. So if I come to work with my Christian faith, we should have the same imagination that that will be accepted. We have a Muslim Socialist mayor that was elected in New York. He's being celebrated while introducing all sorts of practices around his belief system. They're having Muslim prayers in New York City in government settings. New York Governor Kathy Hochul and the U.S. Senator from New York Kirsten Gillibrand, they both chose to wear traditional Muslim head coverings in while in the presence of men at mosques in New York.

California Governor Gavin Newsom, well, he recently signed into law a bill that formally recognizes two Muslim holidays as state holidays. No one is objecting or calling it Islamic nationalism. So I have an expectation that my Christian faith should be embraced in any setting as well, whether it's a school board meeting, the mayor's office, the governor's mansion, or the halls of Congress. We should be done apologizing. It's time for a courageous response. Let's lead with our faith wherever we go. Allen Jackson: Tonight we're joined by veteran television and radio broadcaster and author Chris Salcedo. Welcome to the show, Chris.

Chris Salcedo: Alan, good to see you again.

Allen Jackson: We 've all been watching France on our television sets, a French protest that we were told started over schools, quickly turned into fires and violence, hundreds of thousands taking to the streets. How did we get from complaints about teachers to violence on innocent civilians with Palestinian flags waving in the background?

Chris Salcedo: And be yeah, because it was never about it was never about students. It was never about dilapidated schools. What Europe has done, and I've and I've said this quite frequently in the show, Europe has fallen. And everybody in the United States who's going to be voting in the 2026 midterms ought to look at what happened over there. They voted for left-wingers. They voted for Socialists. They voted for Communists. And those Communists and Socialists opened up their doors and allowed the barbarians inside of the gate. And now they're not even masters in their own homes. And you're just watching the inevitable culture clash that comes of this as the effort to bring down Western civilization is well underway in Europe.

Allen Jackson: Well, I I 've got a video clip of then candidate Trump in 2016 expressing some opinions about what was happening in Europe. Let's listen to it and then I've got a question.

Donald Trump: And Hillary Clinton wants to allow 550% more people from that region into our country. And we have no idea who they are, where they come from. You see what happened to the French priest, a friend of mine. He said he was going to France like 3 4 months ago. I saw him yesterday. I said, how do you like France? He said, I wouldn't go to France. I wouldn't go to France because France is no longer France. France is no longer France.

Allen Jackson: In 2016 President Trump was saying out loud that Europe's unmonitored immigration policies had changed the face of Europe. Seems to me he was just saying out loud what the European leaders didn't have the courage to say.

Chris Salcedo: No, it's absolutely true. And President Trump was was not talking out of school. Uh he wasn't forecasting. He was actually paying attention to what what most Western leaders have abandoned, Alan. This is this is exactly the agenda of the left. I I had a somebody on my show uh an attorney from Alberta, Canada. Uh many people listening to the show are going to be astonished that this trade war between the United States and in Canada, it's not about dairy. It's not about farmers. It's about what is going on inside of of Canada's government that has been taken over by Communist China, that has been taken over by Democrats.

If you guys look at who they've hired, they 've actually hired American Democrats to use Canada as as a wedge against the United States to compromise the safety, security, and prosperity of the United States. It's a it's a worldwide left-wing cabal. Europe was first to fall. And if we don't turn around, we'll be next.

Allen Jackson: Well, I know you're familiar with global circumstances. I want to ask you a question. We've seen millions of Muslim people immigrate into Europe from North Africa and the Middle East. And there has been uh an affirmation of that from the Muslim street, from the United Nations, from UNRA. And there has been no clamoring whatsoever that they be relocated to their historic homelands and restored to the traditional places of their heritage. In fact, quite the opposite is true. And yet in Israel we have this tiny enclave, a group of people identified as Palestinians, and the entire global community loses its mind unless they're allowed to occupy their historic homeland.

Seems like a tremendous double standard that has nothing to do with compassion for people at all.

Chris Salcedo: It doesn't. It has it is it is a massive hypocrisy. And it really reveals the entire agenda. You can't you can understand that that they're working on both sides of this issue, Alan, and they're trying to reach an objective. All everything is noise except for the fact that you're looking at a a civilizational clash, that there was a back in antiquity. I can't remember it's a 1,300 1,400 somewhere back in in there, uh the Battle of Lepanto. And you had the holy league that was that was uh put together by by the Pope then to to basically push back on the Ottoman Empire.

And we knocked them back hundreds of years on their heels. Did those in Christendom? But today it seems that that that that the other side has learned from those mistakes. And it's not just it's not just the jihadists. You're looking at the Communists who have found common cause with the radicalized Islamic fundamentalist terrorists. It's called the Red-Green Alliance. And they are working in tandem across this globe to bring down, as I said, the target is Western civilization. And you can tell that how they're changing standards that everything changes toward that eventuality. That's exactly what they're aiming for.

Allen Jackson: We've had a bizarre entry into our midterm elections. Iran's Revolutionary Guard has taken the extraordinary step of addressing American people in suggesting that they not support President Trump in this midterm election. You know, in 2016 we lost our minds for months on the theory that the Russians had colluded in some way to impact our elections. Now it's not a theory. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard, one of the most brutal regimes in the world is trying to influence our elections. And we're not hearing any complaints from the Democrats that they are cheering for. How can this be?

Chris Salcedo: Well, again, it goes right back to this Red-Green Alliance. The Democrat Party has abandoned the United States of America. The Democrats are now Communists and Socialists. You can't you can be a Democrat or you can be an American rather or you can be a Socialist and a Communist. You can't be both. So what you're watching here is the Iranians recognizing who their allies in the United States of America are, who they have been. Remember it was Barack Hussein Obama who gave pallets of unmarked American cash to the Iranian terrorists. Obama facilitated that. Uh it was what I call Obama's JC POS.

Uh this this deal that allowed them to continue to develop intercontinental ballistic missile technology while they kept all of the material to build nuclear bombs. And President Trump is acting now to stop that eventuality. But remember, it was Democrats who wanted a nuclear armed Iran. It's Democrats who have been and this is what the the IRGC and the mullahs and the Ayatollah, if he's still around, and who knows, but but they they see the Democrat Party as their allies over here. And I'm And they're going to be sadly mistaken if if by chance the Iranians get their way and the Republicans cannot prevail in the midterm elections, they think that they have they're saved.

And well, there's going to be about a month and a half in there where President Trump will be untethered and heaven help the Iranian regime.

Chris Salcedo: We're back now with veteran television and radio broadcaster and author Chris Salcedo. Chris, Iran is now readdressing their familiar chant of death to America. They have spent decades literally telling us they intended to destroy our major cities, to kill Americans, to destroy our military, that they would rule America. But now they're reframing it. They're saying that's not what they meant at all, that what they really were saying is they didn't hate the American people. They just opposed American policies. Do you think we should believe the mullahs? Well, you know, as as we talked about in the previous segment, the Red-Green Alliance, the Communists, and the jihadists are together ideologically.

And just like the Democrat Party is running from their record here in the United States, you can see the mullahs and the Ayatollahs now that President Trump is bringing them to account, they're running away from their record too. But no, they they meant what they said. They have acted on what they said. Americans are dead because of this Iranian regime. And you know, I I I know we're facing some economic headwinds right now, folks, out there in America. But at least right now we're not even up to where Joe Biden was in record high gas prices.

And Joe Biden did it to us out of ideology because he hated American energy and wanted you to pay off the nose so you'd get off gasoline. President Trump is at least doing this with a purpose so that no future president, no future Congress will have to make a calculus in the budget or in our defense posture and factor in terrorists getting their hands on a nuclear weapon. President Trump will be forever remembered in history as tackling with so many past presidents never could or would.

Allen Jackson: Speaking of Trump, the last election he won Texas, your state, by 14 points. You've got a Senate race in Texas that has captured the attention of the whole nation, I think, a James Telrico against Attorney General Ken Paxton. It seems like it's much closer than we would like it to be. How can any rational, logical, common sense minded Texan support James Telrico?

Chris Salcedo: No common sense or logical Texan will. But I said this to my radio audience in the at the beginning of the week you're going to start seeing a shift in the polls. You're going to start And they're going to excuse it away by saying, oh, Republicans are coming home. Well, there's there's two things going on here. As you know, the polls I've been hearing that some of these pollsters are sampling 73% Democrats. Is there They're asking 75 Democrats and 25 Republicans, hey, who do you who do you want to win? And they're And they're astonished that the Democrat has a 6 or 7 point lead in some of these polls, right?

So you're going to start seeing those go back the other direction as these polls, they're not remembered for all the stuff they've done during the election cycle. They're only remembered for the last poll they did just before the election. So there's been a bit of normalizing there. And let's be honest, Ken Paxton had a bruising primary with a fake Republican by the name of John Cornyn. And the establishment Republicans spent over $100 million to defeat Ken Paxton. Ken Paxton became the first Republican conservative to overcome that amount of money being spent against him by his own political party to win.

And now that he's got the money flowing into his campaign, he gets to have a say. And as everybody figures out what kind of Well, we call him James Telafreakshow. And he is one big freakshow, folks. For those of you not in Texas, trust me on this. Now we're starting to figure out who this cat is. And nobody likes what they see.

Allen Jackson: When you mentioned Senator Cornyn, I I've heard you speak about a uniparty. It seems that for decades American has been governed by kind of this uniparty. It's like going to a globetrotter's game. You know, who the players are doesn't really matter. We know who's going to win. Are we Is there some hope we're going to break that cycle?

Chris Salcedo: Yes, if as long as Americans keep and and I know this is going to sound counterintuitive, every American must vote for the Republicans. This will allow we the people to continue our our corrective measures. We got rid of Tom Tillis. We got rid of Bill Cassidy. We got rid of John Cornyn. We need more time. We won't have that if there is a uh a Communist or Socialist governing majority in the federal government. So even even the fake Republicans vote for them now will take care of them in the upcoming primaries. But we the people must think as strategically against this uniparty as they have plotted against us over the years.

So right now, folks, remember the United States Senate, these fake Republicans have been doing nothing, sitting on their duffs since the big beautiful bill and because they want to hand over this country to the other party because that's the way it's always done. It's the ping-pong match. And you know what, folks, I want to get off this ride and you should want to get off this ride too. It's about time we thwarted this uniparty cabal and started doing things the American people's way and not Washington's way.

Allen Jackson: So what do Americans risk if they they've got election fatigue and they maybe even have Trump fatigue or MAGA fatigue and they say, listen, I'm just going to opt out and stay home this time. It's the safer way. I'm just going to stay home and pray. I don't like any of them. If they make that choice, what are they really risking?

Chris Salcedo: Well, I'll it's where we started our conversation, Alan. Uh what you're risking is waking up one day and seeing what's happening in France, what's happening in the United Kingdom, what's happening across the capitals of Europe. You risk waking up one day and having it happen right here in the United States. Do you want Black Lives Matter riots on steroids or want Antifa riots on steroids? Well, go ahead and sit this one out. Uh and then sit there and wonder, gee, I wonder what happened to my country. And then you'll think back to my words right now and go, oh, maybe it was because I decided that I didn't want a government of by and for the people.

Self-government requires a key component, kids. It's yourself. You've got to be involved or else, you know, trust me, government's going to run away with the store. And I don't think they ought to be allowed to anymore.

They're always a highlight. A viewer on Facebook commented, as a young adult I can no longer live my faith in Christ with Democratic Party policies. So I switched parties and never looked back. My mom, however, stayed loyal to the left until she held her nose and voted for Trump in 2020. She finally admitted that the new left was not the party she grew up supporting. Well, I think that's a pretty apparent observation. Political parties change. No matter what the party is, at the end of the day we want to use our vote for candidates that embrace a biblical worldview.

Now here's the spoiler alert. Jesus is not on the ballot. So we're always making choices between imperfect candidates. We want to choose the ones that are advocating most directly for our biblical worldview. If we will do that, I believe we will find ourselves in a better place. If we opt out because we don't like the candidates and we stay home, we're forfeiting the field. We can't do that. God's moving in the earth. Let's join him. Good night and God bless.
