When to Move, When to Be Still
Discernment is knowing the difference between holy action and holy stillness. Take a moment to consider where God is inviting you to align with His timing.
Rabbi K.A. Schneider: Shalom, beloved. This is Rabbi Schneider. Are you like me? Do you sometimes have a temptation to push ahead to make things happen, when really what you should be doing is being still and waiting on God?
I've grown a lot in my own life in this area. Naturally, I'm a very driven, excitable person; I love seeing things happen. God had to train me over the years just to wait on Him. What I found was, as I practiced waiting on Him, a spiritual empowerment enveloped me.
You see, there's a time for everything. There's an appointed time for everything under heaven. There's a time to act, and there's a time to be still. I want to encourage you: ask the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom that you might abide exactly where He is. Act when He acts, and be still when He's still. This has been "A Minute with Rabbi."
