Your Sins are Forgiven Part 2

December 14, 2020

Today pastor John Randall opens Mark chapter two.  It describes the miraculous story of four men bringing their paralytic friend to Jesus.  As you look at all that they went through, and the obstacles they overcame, it’s truly inspirational.  Jesus took notice of their faith, and so too should we!  Along the way we’ll consider the question, what would we be willing to do, to bring a friend to Jesus?

We’re making our way through Mark’s gospel.  Today we’ll observe the healing of a paralytic.  As fantastic as that is, there was something far greater in his life that needed to be dealt with… his spiritual condition.  And Jesus would take care of that too!  Maybe you’re in need of healing today, physically or spiritually?  Let’s see what the Lord can do in our lives, as we come to Him in faith.

The plan today is to finish Mark chapter one.  If you’ll recall, Jesus has just spent some alone time with the heavenly Father in prayer.  Right on the heels of this devotional time, came an opportunity for ministry!  Today we’ll be introduced to a leper who Jesus encounters and his life would never be the same as a result.  We’ll notice how he came to the Lord and how we can too!

How’s your devotional life going?  If you’re like many, you’d probably say, it’s not where it should be!  As we approach a new year, this is an excellent time to do some self-examination and if need be make a commitment to daily time in prayer and the Word. And that’s modeled for us by Jesus in Mark chapter one.  Today on a Daily Walk we’ll notice how Jesus took time out early in the day to get alone with the Father.  Pastor John Randall believes this is essential if we’re to be effective in life and ministry.

Pastor John Randall is in the early going of his study of the Gospel of Mark and it’s been quite a blessing learning about the beginning of Jesus’ ministry in Galilee. Imagine there you are in church, Jesus is in the middle of an amazing teaching, and then a demon possessed man suddenly cries out and disrupts the service!  Then Jesus commands the demon to come out of him and he does!  That’s essentially what happened in the story we’ll bring before you today.

Are you following Jesus in your daily walk?  The early disciples made that choice, and we pray you will too if you haven’t already!  Today on a Daily Walk we consider who is King of our lives.  In just a couple of weeks we’ll be celebrating Jesus coming to this earth. He came to die for our sins so that we could be a part of His glorious Kingdom.  We join pastor John Randall in Mark chapter one and discover the joy and blessing of following Jesus!

Whether you’re pastoring a church, a small group leader, or a missionary on a foreign land… the ministry you’re involved in should be all about Jesus!  If it’s not, you’re off track! Today we give attention to the life and ministry of John the Baptist.  It’s not hard to see, he was sold out to Christ and his ministry focus was all about Christ.  It's a great model for us today to follow!

Today we embark on a new series in the book of Mark.  As the second book in the New Testament, the Book of Mark is also the shortest of the four gospels.  Mark doesn’t go into the same detail the other three gospel writers do, but he has a unique and important message to convey about the amazing life of Jesus…. And presents Him as the Suffering Servant!  We’re excited to bring this to you in these days leading up to Christmas.

Just about a month ago we started our journey through Daniel, and today on a Daily Walk we wrap it all up!  It’s exciting to think that the next event on the prophetic calendar is the rapture of the church and it could happen at any time.  We should want to be found faithful, ready and living in a God-pleasing way.  And today’s study will help us in that regard.  Pastor John Randall will offer a brief tour of end times events as layed out for us in Daniel twelve.

If you’re like a lot of believers you have questions in mind about the end times.  Perhaps you wonder what is revealed in Scripture about the antichrist?  What will occur during the Great Tribulation, and what happens to Christians who have died or saved during the Tribulation?  The book of Daniel answers some of this for us, and that’s where we’re headed today on a Daily Walk!
December 1, 2020
Pastor John Randall is currently taking us through the Old Testament book of Daniel. We’re nearing the end of this remarkable prophecy. We come to chapter eleven, verse thirty-six that speaks of the coming world ruler known as the antichrist, and an unprecedented and unrivaled time of trouble.
