We’ll meet up with pastor John Randall in the Song of Solomon chapter four today.  After great anticipation, the honeymoon has finally arrived for Solomon and his wife.  Physical intimacy was given by God for us to enjoy, within marriage!  Sadly the world has distorted this, making it all the more necessary for us to receive a proper biblical view of intimacy in marriage.  Chapter four gives that to us.

Today, we return to the Song of Solomon, and after the wedding day in chapter three we’re now ready for the honeymoon in chapter four.  It speaks rather openly about sexual intimacy, and describes the joy of a honeymoon.  Pastor John will stress the importance of saving physical intimacy for marriage.  When you do, it will be a true blessing.

Those of you who are married… recall for a moment the days leading up to your wedding and then that special day itself.  There’s nothing quite like it.  The anticipation, the overwhelming joy and excitement!  The Lord thought it all up.  He gave us marriage to be enjoyed and as a portrait of His relationship with His bride- the church.  We’ve been in the Song of Solomon lately and we’ll focus on the great anticipation of the wedding, for Solomon and the Shulamite woman. Join us today in chapter three.

Those of you who are engaged, or in a serious dating relationship will no doubt be able to relate to the feelings of the Shulamite woman expressed in the passage before us.  Her strong desire is to be with Solomon, but she knows it’s important to reserve physical intimacy for marriage.  Join pastor John now for part two of his message, “Growing in Love.”
