In his letter to the Romans, Paul was adamant about our position in Christ, that we are saved by grace and grace alone. He declared that our status here on earth - social or otherwise - has absolutely no bearing on our position in heaven. This was a hard lesson for the Jews to grasp, as they were taught to regard their status as higher than the lowly Gentiles around them. Grab that Bible of yours and open it up to Romans chapter two and follow along with us as John Randall shows us that nothing can save us apart from Christ.

Have you ever gone in front of a mirror and used that mirror to wash the dirt off of you?  Of course not. The law is much like a mirror, it can only show us our sin, it can’t cleanse us of it.  Yet too many seek to live under the law expecting they can perform it. That only leads to hypocrisy and judgmentalism. There’s a better way - a way that actually works!  Today on a Daily Walk we take you to Romans chapter two and see together what that is.

Maybe you’ve noticed, we’re pretty good at making excuses to justify our bad behavior.  But we’re all too quick to come down hard on others who do the very same thing. This sort of self-deception and self-righteousness was present in the heart of the people we’ll read about today in Romans chapter two.  Pastor John Randall is in the early stages of a new series in Romans. And it’s been emphasizing that we’re made right with God by faith in the finished work of Jesus on the cross.

We’re told in Revelation that Commercial Babylon, an economic system and political structure, will be destroyed!  Who is it?  Stay tuned for an enlightening study in the Word on a Daily Walk! The world calls out to us with its amusements and attractions.  And it is powerful - so we must be on our guard.  It’s our tendency to fall for the unceasing advertising campaign of the world and before long we’re loaded down with its trinkets.  Wouldn’t you like to know how to not get taken in by it?  We’ll point the way today on a Daily Walk.

Think you’re better than the next guy.... think again!  Apart from Christ, we’re all seen as unrighteous and wicked in the sight of God.  And that’s important to understand, as it emphasizes how greatly we need a savior.  Pastor John Randall is going through Romans right now, and we enter chapter two today. Our attention turns now to those who are self-righteous, and hypocritical.  It’s not just a problem in the past, but very much an issue in the present.

Sin is not to be trifled with because it’s a powerful force that wreaks havoc. God would have us avoid the great harm and instead experience the freedom and fulfillment that only comes by living according to His truth. Turn if you would to the book of Romans. We’re about to hear the steps downward in the depravity of man.

You may wonder at times just how bad can things really get!  You may ask, “Could it get any worse?  It seems like every year we reach a new low.  And today on a Daily Walk we’ll learn what’s at the root of this depravity.  Pastor John Randall will point out that there comes a point where God lets go of the restraints which leads to destruction and devastation.

Maybe you’ve noticed, there’s a concentrated effort today to suppress the truth, or hold it down!  Attempt to share God’s truth in this environment and you might get this reply… “Well that’s your truth, not mine!”  But today on the program we’ll see what this sort of behavior really leads to, and it’s not pretty.  Pastor John will be covering Romans chapter one, and we’ll begin at verse seventeen.

Here we are on Halloween, and the holidays are right around the corner!  But maybe you haven’t really given much thought as this season being an opportunity to speak of the gospel message to our friends and family.  It may be when someone knocks on our door asking for candy, at the family dinner table, or as we’re standing in line at the store.  Question is will you hold back because of fear, or step out in faith and courage?  Today on a Daily Walk we’ll be encouraged by a man who was unashamed of the gospel, because he realized it is the power of God unto salvation.

There are quite a number of religions in the world today.  Statistics tell us that Islam is growing in great numbers. Buddhism is very popular too.  Actually there are only two belief systems in this world – belief in Jesus, or belief in a false religion. As we study Revelation seventeen today, keep that in mind, because as we see the judgment of Mystery Babylon, we notice the results of mankind's decision to follow and worship the antichrist instead of Jesus Christ.
