Maybe you have plans to go to a wedding or two here during the holidays? Today on a Daily Walk we find Jesus and His disciples at a wedding, and something miraculous is about to take place. Pastor John Randall is going through John’s gospel at the present time. Today we pay a visit to chapter two! This passage describes Jesus’ first miracle. And through it all we’ll be encouraged to listen to Jesus, and do whatever He says.

Today we’re continuing a series of studies in John’s gospel. At the end of chapter one Jesus called some men to follow Him and be His disciples. These were just ordinary, common guys. Like fishermen and tax collectors. By the world’s standards they were nothing special, but God sees us differently. And the great news is, He wants you to follow Him too.

In his letter to Ephesus, the key words are found in Revelation chapter two, verse four, “You have left your first love”. Whether an entire church body, or an individual Christian, leaving the love relationship we have with Jesus is something to be avoided but what do you do if it happens?

Today John will point out what an effective witness looks like. It starts with being loving and honest. But it also involves humility, a trait we can see clearly in John the Baptist.

Right from the outset, He makes it clear that Jesus is God, who came into the world as the true light to offer life to as many as would receive Him. And it’s a message the world today desperately needs to hear and receive.

I personally know of quite of few who would recommend the Gospel of John as a good place to start. It serves as a great foundation in our understanding of Jesus and His deity. And today, we begin a verse by verse journey through John.
