It doesn’t take us long to come to realize that our Daily Walk includes difficulty, hurt and persecution. But it’s comforting to know that God will be with us and is in control. Today on a Daily Walk, King David is lied to, cursed at and plotted against. He’s on the run, and in a full-blown crisis. Imagine having your very own Son, out to destroy you! But he would handle all of this with grace.

King David faced that very thing in his life, and we read about this crisis point in Second Samuel sixteen. God said no to David’s desire to build the temple. He did so not because there was some sin in David’s life but because God had a better plan. And saying no to David would prove to be even more loving than saying yes. Take a look at David’s response to God’s “no” as you join pastor John Randall.

God sometimes says no to our requests. And when He does we can so easily grow discouraged. But what we often fail to see is God has His reasons, and He has something much better in mind for us.
