The End of the Road Part 1

Any long distance runner will tell you that a key to keep running and fighting is to focus on the goal… the finish line and the crown that’s awarded in the end! And so it is with the Christian life and race. Today on a Daily Walk the apostle Paul is on his final lap in his life long race and he shares some encouragement to us on how to run well and finish strong. Pastor John Randall will key in on these final words from Paul and they are powerful to say the least.

There's no debating the fact that these are difficult days. From a virus that is hard to control, to war in a foreign land, immoral behavior accepted and applauded, abortions, and the breakdown of the family are just a few things we could point to as evidence of that. Many are asking themselves and others, "Are these the last days?" I think it’s safe to say that they are as we read 2nd Timothy chapter three today on a Daily Walk. And as we look together at what will take place in the last days, pastor John Randall will encourage us to live for the glory of God.

Just as there are good and godly teachers today, there are false teachers who seek to undermine what God is wanting to accomplish. But how are we to face these false teachers as they cross our paths? The apostle Paul gives us some help with that in Second Timothy chapter two. Timothy needed to face and confront them too.

False teaching is prevalent. It’s been in the church since the beginning and surely making its way through the church at the present time! But how are we to face these false teachers? The same way Timothy did! Today on a Daily Walk we recall a time in the early church when Timothy needed to confront the false teachers. And the apostle Paul would share with young Timothy the reasons why they are to be avoided. Pastor John Randall will relate all of this to our day, and the false teaching that exists.
