Living on the Promises of God, Part 1

February 2, 2021

As we turn together to Joshua chapter one, we discover Joshua is faced with a national tragedy similar to our own.  And there came a time where he would need to get up and go forward and cross the Jordan River.  Pastor John believes we all have Jordan Rivers to cross in our lives.  And maybe God is calling you to cross over, even as we speak?

Even the casual observer recognizes there’s a lot going on right now relating to end times prophecy!  It’s becoming increasingly clear, the Lord’s return is very soon.  As God is drawing things to a rapid close, what are we to be doing?  That’s the all-important question we’ll pursue today on a Daily Walk as we finish up the Olivet Discourse in Mark chapter thirteen.

Today we get back into the Olivet Discourse in Mark chapter thirteen.  Here Jesus is asked a couple of questions by His disciples, one of which we’ll look at today that has to do with the timing of the second coming of Christ.  With all that’s transpiring in our world today, that may be a question running through your mind as well.

We have an important message to share with you, as John Randall continues his series in Mark. All the signs around us are very clear, we’re living in the last days. The Lord is going to return soon, and the rapture is even closer. In Mark thirteen, Jesus spoke of some of the signs to look for as we await His glorious return.

Today John Randall continues his new series in the gospel of Mark. All the signs around us are shouting the Lord is coming back soon!   And we must “be prepared”! As we open up Mark 13 today and have a look at the Olivet Discourse we’ll benefit from some questions about the end times which are answered by Jesus Himself.

You don’t have to look long and hard to find examples of hatred in our world today. Just turn on the nightly news, or scroll through your newsfeed on social media.  But Christians are to stand out as loving and sacrificial people.  That’s the challenge in front of us today, as we open our Bibles to Mark chapter twelve.

Our teacher is pastor John Randall and we’re making our way through Mark right now.  And in chapter twelve Jesus responds to a question with a parable.  It not only reveals the patience and love of God, but the folly of man, and judgment coming on those who reject Jesus.

Pastor John Randall is at the tail-end of Mark chapter ten and then we’ll move into chapter eleven.  It’s here we run across a blind man that had remarkable faith, and he would receive his sight on this particular day.

Pastor John Randall will pick up where we left off last time in our study of Mark.  In chapter ten the disciples are in a place, many of us find ourselves in right now.  They’re fearful!  It’s interesting to observe what Jesus does.  He takes them aside and reminds them of a few things.  Perhaps that’s what you need today?

In Mark ten we run across a man that by the world’s standards had it all.  He was young, wealthy, and was a man of great stature too.  But there was something missing in his life, and it’s the greatest thing of all.  And perhaps today you feel empty and something is missing?  Allow the Lord to speak to you as only He can, through His Word. We’re talking about what it takes to get to heaven.

Here on A Daily Walk, pastor John Randall will take us to Mark chapter ten, where the subject at hand is marriage and divorce and raising our kids for Christ.  It’s not hard to see the impact the breakdown of the family has had.  When a couple chooses to go their separate ways, there are long lasting consequences.  But God didn’t intend for it to be this way.  His desire is that we have a healthy home, and a thriving marital relationship.
