Intercession, Contention and Confrontation Part 2

April 1, 2019

I think it’s safe to say we’ve all been on the receiving end of an unfair accusation or criticism.  Maybe it was on social media, a blog posting, or people talking behind your back.  That can really hurt, but how do you handle it?  While you might be tempted to give them a piece of your mind and retaliate, there’s a much better way to go, and it’s modeled by Moses.

Living in the Daze of Deception
There’s no question that Satan loves to deceive.  He’s been at it since the Garden.  And we can expect that to only increase in the last days.  How do we combat these lies and avoid getting lead astray?  We’d like to recommend a book from Jack Hibbs called, “Living in the Daze of Deception.”  Foreward by Mike Pompeo.  This national bestseller is available right now to our a Daily Walk listeners for the cost of just ten dollars.

What does your prayer time consist of? Maybe primary focus is on yourself and your own needs? Today we’ll be encouraged to pray for others too, and it’s a good idea to include the promises of God in your prayers as you do.

As we continue our study in Numbers you can’t help but see the tragedy of unbelief. The journey for the people of God from Egypt to the Promised Land should have taken forty days, at the most. Instead, it took the people forty years. The delay was brought on by their unbelief. As we continue through this Old Testament book, ask yourself,  "Do I truly trust God in my Daily Walk?"

Are you quick to complain about everything from the weather, to traffic or the long lines at the supermarket?   I think it’s safe to say, many of us are more known for complaining than for a grateful heart.  But that shouldn’t be the case for the follower of God.  Today on a Daily Walk we’ll recall a time when the people of Israel were wandering in the dessert, and complaining and in unbelief. It’ll serve as a reminder to us to trust in God, in our daily walk.

When the offering plate goes by, or an opportunity to support a missionary is given, how do you normally respond?  Are you excited about this, and can’t wait to give to God cheerfully?  Or do you do so reluctantly, out of obligation?  Today on a Daily Walk we’ll examine our own hearts and see if it matches what God expects of us.

Will you live a compromised life or a consecrated life?  That’s the question we bring before you today on a Daily Walk as open our Bibles to Numbers six.  For the bulk of our time together pastor John Randall will look at the Nazarite vow.  In essence it was a vow of consecration to the Lord.  There is an application for us today as we too are to dedicate our lives to God!

Today on a Daily Walk our teacher, pastor John Randall will present a message on false prophets and teachers. False teachers are certainly prevalent today as they were in Jesus’ day. Christ warns us that these false prophets are ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing. That should serve as a wake-up call to every believer to learn to tell the difference from a true man of God and a ravenous Wolf.

Have you ever been driving around, and come to realize you've been going the wrong way? Countless people today think they’re on the highway to heaven, but in reality are on the road to destruction.  Pastor John Randall takes us to Matthew seven, and shows us how to get on the right road.

Maybe you’ve noticed sin sure looks worse on others than it does in ourselves.  We’re quick to point the finger and say, “Oh how could they.”  But we overlook our own faults quite easily.  As we open up Matthew seven Jesus makes it clear we’re not to judge hypocritically. And before you confront someone, make sure you first take care of what’s going on in your own life.
