The Bible teaches that pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. In our message today on a Daily Walk, we will see one of the greatest examples of that. Pastor John Randall shares from Daniel chapter 4 about the rise and fall of King Nebuchadnezzar, one of the most powerful rulers in human history. And it’s a great lesson to all of us about the great danger of pride and not listening to God’s warnings.

You may recall last time we were together, Nebuchadnezzar had a troubling dream and he goes on a quest to discover its meaning. In the verses before us today God is going to reveal the interpretation to Daniel and he would then relay the explanation of the dream to the King! What does this have to do with you? A lot! You’ll want to stay tuned as it speaks volumes about the last days.

Today on a Daily Walk we’ll see how God got a King’s attention through his sleep, and in doing so revealed world history. There are many places in Scripture where the Lord chose to speak and reveal through dreams, and Daniel chapter two is one such place.

Pastor John Randall is in the early stages of his verse by verse study of Daniel. Daniel was a young man who stood for Christ, and was determined not to be defiled, in a society that was very wicked. It’s not hard to see we live in a similar environment, but we too can and should honor God with our lives.

We’re on the final lap in the book of Jude here on a Daily Walk. Throughout this series we’ve been encouraged to contend for the faith! And as we wrap it all up today pastor John Randall explores how we are to contend for the faith. It involves staying in the Word, fellowship, prayer, staying in the love of God and maintaining an eternal perspective too.

If you’ll recall when we left you last time pastor John Randall looked at a couple of Old Testament examples, that really show us what false teachers are like. First was Cain, who represents establishing their own form of righteousness, and then there was Balaam… who would lead others to sin through greed. As we pick things up at verse eleven we’re going to explore the rebellion of Korah.
