Before a person can enter into certain professions they have to prepare by going to school for many years. And you might say God has a school of preparation for usefulness. And it begins right where you are and may include some difficulty!

The Apostle Paul wrote a significant portion of the New Testament. Ephesians, Romans, First and Second Corinthians...just to name a few. But before he was Paul, he was Saul, and what a wretched man he was. A murderer and enemy of God. But I’m happy to say he was radically converted to Christ. Today Pastor John Randall continues his series through the book of Acts, as we see the conversion of Saul, as described in chapter nine. It really goes to show you the difference God can make in a life.

There are many landmark events described in the Bible and this is certainly one of them in Acts nine. Here we find the conversion of Saul later to be known as the apostle Paul. It’s without a doubt a pivotal point in world history. Just think of all that God accomplished through Paul the apostle! You can’t help but see the grace of God woven throughout this story of life change.

Today on a Daily Walk we take a look at a divine appointment in Acts chapter eight. It involves Phillip and an Ethiopian Eunuch. Phillip was faithful to preach Jesus to him, and something amazing happened as a result.

Have you ever been setup… by God? If you’re a Christian you probably have, even if you haven’t noticed it. Maybe there you are on an airplane and you’re seated next to someone who doesn’t know the Lord, and God is prompting you to say something. Or perhaps you share a simple verse with someone, not knowing what they’re going through, and it was just what they needed to hear! Today we’ll see God setup a meeting for Phillip, and it’s a wonderful example of how God works in our daily walk!

Phillip has just preached the gospel in Samaria, a revival breaks out, and a large number are saved. In this midst of this great work of God, enter Simon. At one time he professed faith in God and was baptized, but at this point in his life he made a terrible mistake! He thought he could purchase the gift of God!

Philip was a godly man, and used greatly to put it mildly. He was faithful to proclaim the truth of God and we’ll be encouraged to do the same. Today on a Daily Walk we contrast his life with someone far different. Simon enters onto the scene, and he was a sorcerer and a deceiver.

Today on a Daily Walk pastor John Randall brings us a study of Stephen’s dramatic message in which he uses heroes of Jewish history as witnesses to Jesus as the Messiah. The plan today is to finish up Acts chapter seven which recalls the stoning of Stephen by the religious leaders of his day.

It truly is admirable when someone takes a stand for the truth when the pressure is on. We’ll meet one such man today and his name is Stephen. He was actually the first martyr of the Christian church. We’re about to hear his final sermon on his last day on earth, and allow this to encourage you to take a stand for Jesus in whatever situation you find yourself in!

As the early church was expanding so were the needs! And today a Daily Walk we’ll see how the needs were met for the glory of God. Along the way we’ll be encouraged to grow in the area of serving God and others.
