Acts 23:33-24:27, Part 1

Today on a Daily Walk we head over to Acts twenty-three and twenty-four, and continue to hear Paul’s defense before the Jewish and Roman authorities. Paul has been accused of sedition but his only offense is preaching the gospel - that salvation comes not by the keeping of the Old Testament laws and sacrifices but by faith in Jesus Christ.

Today on a Daily Walk that’s where we find the apostle Paul. In Acts chapters 22 and 23 the apostle Paul finds himself standing trial before the Sanhedrin. He’s been attacked by those who resented his message. Though he’s falsely accused and been shamefully treated he patiently tries to win them over - but to no avail. And every step of the way, the Lord stood with him. Pastor John Randall wants us to know today, that the Lord will be with and help us too!

Maybe you’ve noticed when you’re living out the will of God the road can be difficult and rocky at times. Though we’ll suffer, even in the will of the Lord, God is still accomplishing something great! And doors often swing wide open, that wouldn’t otherwise be there, for us to share the good news! In Acts chapter twenty we receive Paul’s farewell address and a powerful example of ministry. Paul was the sort of guy who didn’t hold anything back or water down the Gospel message. He remained focused on Christ and God’s plan for His life, regardless of what others thought or did. And wouldn’t you agree we need men and women like that today!

On todays’ broadcast we join pastor John Randall in Acts chapter twenty. And there are some things that stood out in Paul’s life that John wants to draw our attention to. Paul was faithful, consistent, a humble servant, and endured in the midst of difficulty. What a great model for us to consider and follow.
