Day 7- Seeking Forgiveness Through Prayer
Jack Graham: Lord, we come before you this day to confess our sins. We desire you to hear our prayers. We know that you, in your perfect holiness, cannot come near to sin. The sin in our hearts and minds, the sin of our thoughts and our actions must be removed, must be repented of, so that we may receive your forgiveness.
God, search our hearts and reveal any sin that may be a barrier between our prayers and you. We do not cherish the iniquity in our own hearts and we want forgiveness for our sins. We thank you for your mercy and generous love for us.
Father, we know we can forever come into your presence in Jesus' name, despite our sinful nature and deeds. We believe this because of what Christ has done for us, because of what Jesus, your beloved son, has accomplished for us. We have been changed and cleansed and set on a path of everlasting communion with you because of the cross. Wash us through, Lord, with your cleansing power, made possible through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
