What does it take to deepen and strengthen our faith? 2 Timothy 4:7 likens our faith to running a race: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Worrying does nothing to benefit our lives in any way; it only takes away. It takes away the present moments and present joy you could experience, not to mention it takes away from a peaceful life.

The temptation to be lazy is ever-present. Just like any sin, laziness is exchanging long-term benefits for partaking in temporary pleasure. It is a seemingly easy road, but it leads to consequences.

My prayer today is that you will trust God even in the midst of financial strain. May we be reminded that God can provide all that we need and that we can trust Him, even in our finances.

Friend, in these wildly crazy times, we must cling to the truth that our God is still in control (Proverbs 19:21), and His plan holds a much greater purpose.

God doesn’t call us because we have it all figured out or because we are perfect in our faith. And so, accepting our calling isn’t dependent upon some criteria of perfection we must meet. Ultimately, accepting our call isn’t an act of spiritual power; it’s one of trust.

Today, we will examine the seven things the Lord detests, as well as their counterparts, in the hope of living lives that are sweet aromas (Philippians 4:18) to the Lord.

All we have to do is look around at creation and be amazed. If this is the fallen version of God’s creation, what must the pre-Adam fall have looked like?

It’s easy to look back on your life and have regrets. Sometimes, you regret things you did or wish you made different decisions, and then there are other times you regret the things you didn’t do. But the truth is, you can’t change the past, no matter how hard you try.

What can you do when someone you love dies? I once asked John that same question, and his answer was simple. You thank God that they have been in your life, and you trust them to Him.
