Isaiah 58:11 offers encouragement to stay close to God, trusting Him to lead, strengthen, and satisfy our needs like a well-watered garden. Through prayer, surrender, and faith in His timing, we can find confidence that His direction aligns with His perfect plan for our lives.

One of the most important things that we can do is to have gratitude and acknowledge what the Lord has done in a year before saying goodbye to it.

When we ask God to prepare our hearts for a new year, what are we asking Him to accomplish in our lives? In looking at the life of Jesus, what did He do to prepare Himself to face each coming day and remain faithful?

Seeking God in the year is a brilliant place to start with our new plans. He does not want you to make new resolutions or commitments that do not include Him.

Whether you are reflecting on the positive aspects this season or the negative, we are all called to come before God with gratitude and seek Him first.

God always shows up. God supplies sufficient strength when we call on and stay close to him.

God will judge mankind and there will be no gray areas. Either we are with Jesus or we are not.

Jesus’ birth is a time for great celebration. Although born hidden away in an obscure stable, His appearing brought the most spectacular baby announcement on Earth, with angels breaking forth from Heaven to bring the Good News of His birth.

The fact is, all around us, there are many people, for many reasons, who are searching for Christ this Christmas. We may not see the choir of angels around us, but the heavenly host still proclaims Christ’s birth. It occurs all around us.
