Devotional Archives for Your Daily Prayer

To welcome people, as Jesus does, is to reach out to the people we would rather not associate with – the people who don’t belong to our friend group or our inner circle. Do you find this easy or hard to do?

Why do we act so surprised when something we can’t explain suddenly occurs to us, attributing it to luck or coincidence? Let's reclaim these moments as times when our Heavenly Father is actually speaking to us.

It's easy to get overly confident in thinking we're choosing our own pathways, making our own decisions, and ruling out that God is directing our steps even when we aren't aware of it.

The truth of the matter is that your child may be choosing to live in a manner that is displeasing to you, but there are consequences for choosing their own way and not obeying God and His will.

Child of God, you are protected. Christ follower, who claims and calls on Jesus as Savior, you will be protected.

If you are in a waiting season today, find encouragement from Rahab’s example. May we all hold on to unwavering faith in the waiting. God will strengthen us as we wait, and our faith will grow as we fully trust in him.

We need to embrace and celebrate the little wins in our personal growth. Our growth might not be evident to others, but we can often see it clearly in our own lives. Personal growth for you could be staying calm when a family member is trying to agitate you or choosing to take the higher road when someone insults you.

Whether you desire to see a newfound confidence, launch a company or ministry, be open to God's plan for expanding your family, achieve that degree, or more, the Lord is going before you in 2025.

If you are experiencing hardship this new year, let’s make one new commitment, resolution, or habit. Let us commit to trusting God with everything.

Change begins with a humble and repentant heart. Bring that to Jesus, and he will help guide you towards change so you can live with more freedom here in the land of the living.
