Happy Mother’s Day! Motherhood is one of God’s greatest gifts to us. We get the privilege of raising our children. "As the scripture teaches, `Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.’

What does the Bible say about Mothers? Proverbs 31:28–29 says, "Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.'  Proverbs 31 was written by who we think is called Lemuel. The woman that is referred to in Proverbs 31 we can assume is his mother. She has taught her son many things as he grew, and as a result of his having lived according to his mother's guidance and training, assumed the position of the king as an adult.

Let’s look at some mother’s day sermons as we prepare to celebrate mothers everywhere.
