The Bible tells us not to eat the Lord's Supper in an unworthy manner. This doesn't mean we can make ourselves worthy in some way. It means that we shouldn't partake as mere ritual or superstition, or with sin in our hearts.

As a church, we shouldn't put certain people on a pedestal, as though they were more important. All the parts of the body are equal before the Lord. And we should remember that we are interdependent. No one should tell another, "I have no need of you."

We should recognize the variety that is in the church—the various abilities, gifts, etc. But we should also emphasize unity—the fact that we are all parts of a whole, with each person having an important job. And it is Christ Who is in control.
