![]() by Dennis and Barbara Rainey November 20 Putting the "Thanks" Back in Thanksgiving 1 Chronicles 16:8 We often hear about the need to put Christ back into Christmas. But in our culture, when the Christmas shopping season is in full swing by mid-November, many families find that Thanksgiving is little more than a nice meal to kick off a whirlwind of Yuletide activities. Prayer: Tonight at dinner ask God to help you to remember His goodness and to be grateful. Then have each family member give thanks for something God has done. Discuss: What can you do to give this holiday a stronger spiritual emphasis?
