About Dr. James Spencer

Dr. James Spencer is a Christian theologian, author, and teacher passionate about challenging God’s people to point to and magnify Jesus Christ. After earning his Ph.D. in Theological Studies from    Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, James spent more than a decade in higher education administration and consulting. He is currently President of Useful to God and President of D. L. Moody Center. James has taught a variety of courses since 2005 and currently serves on faculty with Right On Mission and as an adjunct instructor with Wheaton College. 

 

James has published multiple works, including Christian Resistance: Learning to Defy the World and Follow Christ, Useful to God: Eight Lessons from the Life of D. L. Moody, Thinking Christian: Essays on Testimony, Accountability, and the Christian Mind, and Trajectories: A Gospel-Centered Introduction to Old Testament Theology.  He is also a regular contributor to Christianity.com and has published on Fox News, CBN.com, and The Washington Times.
