In today’s lesson, Pastor Bryan will share from Deuteronomy as the Israelites consider entering the land promised to them by God. While they were presented with great opportunity, they were also confronted with significant obstacles. As with the Israelites, when we recognize the power of our God, the size of our problems begin to feel much smaller.

We read in Genesis 15 that “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to Him for righteousness.” However, In the passages that follow, we learn of Abraham’s many flaws and unfaithfulness to his wife, children and most significantly his Heavenly Father. Yet, God remained faithful to His promises toward Abraham.

In today’s lesson, Pastor Bryan reminds us of God’s covenant to His people as affirmed in the truths promised to Abraham in Genesis 15. We will learn how we can live out this covenant when we faithfully care for our families, reflecting God’s love. Not being swayed by their present actions, but being rooted in our prior promise of commitment,

Dr. Chapell will turn our attention to what follows the flood account in Genesis, as we learn how our Heavenly Father brings rainbows after the rain in our lives. In part 2 of the message “Rainbow Promises,” we see God’s faithfulness in His promise to redeem His people. Even after the flood, when we see the effects of sin once again, God works in such a way to fulfill his unbreakable covenant.

Time and again, throughout scripture we are reminded of this truth, “you are not your own redeemer.” In the second half of the message “We All Fall Down,” Dr. Chapell points us to God’s unrelenting love and divine plan for redemption. A plan that is present even in the opening chapters of the Bible.
