Resources from Truth For Life Daily Devotions
How did God prepare His people for the coming Messiah? There Shone a Holy Light: Beholding Christ and Christmas in the Old Testament is an Advent devotional that reveals how key Old Testament stories, figures, and symbols find their fulfillment in Jesus’ life.
These twenty-five readings show how people like Noah, Joshua, and Solomon—as well as symbols such as the tabernacle, the ark, and the water from the rock—foreshadow the character and ministry of the Messiah.
Full of rich connections across the storyline of Scripture, these meditations will help you prepare your heart for Christmas with a deeper appreciation for God's unified plan of redemption and the way Christ is woven throughout the whole of Scripture.
