Yada Times - Two Way Dialogue: The Three Mindsets

November 17, 2025
00:00

Last week, in Step 6 of the Yada Times, we learned what it means to abide within God’s heartfield—to dwell in the place where His presence becomes our atmosphere.

This week, we step into the true value of two-way communication with the Lord, uncovering how Spirit-led dialogue draws us into a realm of timeless eternity.

In this episode, Dr. Robyn and Dr. Nathan explore the Three Mindsets that can quietly sabotage our relationship with God. These mindsets—rooted in shame, performance, or the drive to “know everything”—are the fruit of one-sided communication, where we either do all the talking… or all the listening. And while these patterns feel spiritual, they actually keep us from intimacy.

God invites us higher.

Two-way communication is where we stop speaking at God and begin speaking with Him.

It is where reasoning is exchanged for resonance, where conversation becomes communion, and where we begin to experience miracles, shifts, and divine perspective that are not bound by time.

In this space, we encounter the God who affirmed Jesus before He ever performed—reminding us that love is the starting line, not the reward.

The Yada Times teach us that God is removing everything that has kept us from feeling Him, because when we feel Him, we become like Him.

This requires recognizing where we are, so we know where we are going.

It requires leaving behind the limitations of one-way relationship and embracing the treasure of Spirit-led exchange.

Two-way communication is intimacy embodied.

It is where eternity touches our present moment.

It is where truth rises above feeling and where we learn the rhythm of His heart.

Why settle for anything less?

As we close, Dr. Robyn and Dr. Nathan bring the journey full circle—

returning to First Love, yet ending in mature love:

a love that listens, responds, resonates, and walks in step with the One who made us for union.

Guest (Male): Welcome to First Love with Dr. Robyn Kassas and Dr. Nathan Kassas, where faith meets real life. In this weekly broadcast, you'll discover practical and spiritual keys to reclaim God's story in your life, deepen your relationship with Jesus, and encounter him as your first love, whether for the first time or all over again. No topic is off-limits as we make Jesus real, relevant, and relational. Stay with us. Your journey back to first love starts now.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: Good evening, everyone, and welcome back to First Love. My name is Dr. Nathan Kassas, and I am sitting with Dr. Robyn Kassas. Dr. Robyn, how are you?

Dr. Robyn Kassas: I'm doing fine, thank you.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: That's awesome. Well, we've come to the end of an important journey and series. Last week was the last step in our Yada series, the Yada Times: five steps, actually six with God's heart field, the added extra one for last week. It's been an important journey. So, Dr. Robyn, why don't you just quickly remind the listeners, recap us into that powerful journey that the Holy Spirit took us on about knowing him?

Dr. Robyn Kassas: Well, stage one was always casual getting to know God like someone to have a connection with, to reach out and actually touch someone. It's more than just prayer. Then stage two was beginning to trust, and that was the beginning of the walk of trust. Stage three, we moved into something deeper to do with mistakes and frustrations and such and our dreams. Intimacy was stage four, and that was experiencing the presence beyond words.

Then of course, stage five was union, and that was speaking like you had been with that person for years and years and you didn't really have to say anything; you could just know the person's reactions. So that's really what it is with the Lord in union. It's like a married couple. So that was stage five, and I wanted people to know that prayer is not doing something but being with someone.

That's the expression of Jesus: to be with someone. Of course, when we went to that, we went to the end, which was the conclusion last week, God's heart field, which was his heart field. All I want to do tonight to finish this whole series off is to do with the importance of hearing God's voice.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: Wow, what an important topic.

Dr. Robyn Kassas: And so that is to do with something that will be added on to Yada Times because it has to come to a place where you need to recognize the level that you're at. If you recognize that, then you could be on the journey to go on to more levels. This is truly important. The voice of God is to be not just one way, me speaking or him speaking. It's two-way communication. You can't have relationship with one-way. I don't know if you want to add something to that.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: Well, I've got a couple of statements here from our notes last week to do with God's heart field that I thought were important to read out. I've got here: "Closing revelation, the journey of Yada or knowing him was never about getting closer, doing better, or proving your devotion. It was about God removing what kept you from feeling him. Because when you feel him, you become like him. The final stage is not intimacy achieved; it is intimacy embodied."

I think that's a powerful statement because if we look at it as an achievement, it's still a level of which our work is still accomplishing the transformation. But if we look at it more like an embodiment, then we look at it as something that's already been in us and it's coming out and it's becoming one with us. So, the heart field was an important aspect of the Yada Times, which we needed to bring in because it's about moving into his heart field.

Dr. Robyn Kassas: Yeah, and what we said last week was to do with this communication. It's a relationship if it's two-way. It's a relationship where we can have dialogue with God. Out of that, we can come into his heart field. If it's only one-way, it's all about us. We're bringing him into our heart field. It has to be definitely two-way dialoguing that will bring two-way intimacy and communication.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: Yeah, and I think that transitions us to where our life stops becoming a testimony about him and it becomes a testimony of him. That's a very important differentiation. About him is still me separate from him. We have a lot of worship songs today that sing about God and what he does, but there are few and far between that sing him.

Dr. Robyn Kassas: Yeah, it's to sing him. And of course, the relationship that we built as we do this two-way, it can bring us into a level of the spirit communication and spirit-led communication, if you want to say it like that.

Because there's no time in the spirit realm. It's like God's beyond time, and so we don't have time clocks in the spirit realm. We seem to enter into eternity.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: Eternal perspective, which is not limited by time limits. Time is to do with expiration because of sin. Time entered the world, unfortunately, when sin entered the world. Adam and Eve, they started their own death clock.

So, God uses time now as a space to step into to accomplish his divine purposes, but he has to step into time because he's outside of it. When we bring that kind of communication into an eternal place, we're actually communicating on his time clock, outside of our time clock.

Dr. Robyn Kassas: And I think that this is the incredible blessing because we get to enter into that eternity. It also means we can feel anything anywhere. To move into God's heart field brings all these things to us.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: So true. And just reminding you of the science: remember the heart's electromagnetic field is five thousand times stronger than the brain's. When we step into just a human's heart field on that strength, we can feel what they're feeling on a level that we could never understand it in our reasoning.

Imagine if we could step into God's heart field on that level where we go beyond reasoning and we start to live in resonance. I think that's an important thing. God and heaven move via resonance, not via reasoning.

Isaiah says, "Come let us reason together," but that's because we are in our human state. When you're in that eternal state, it's a resonance. That's what you and I demonstrated at the season casting. We constantly demonstrated resonance. The sound waves, the light resonating, the light beams reflecting off each other; heaven is in a resonance. Heaven is not in a reasoning realm. When we try to bring our reasoning into a resonance realm, we try to bring heaven under earth's subjection, where it has to be the opposite.

Dr. Robyn Kassas: And then as we do these things, as I said before, we can feel anything anywhere. That's really spirit-led communication. Then we can be an ambassador, an intercessor, because we're not moving in a realm that is conducted by time. How incredible it would be to see and do anything anywhere. But that's in God's time. That's in God's heart field. That's not ours.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: And a perfect example of that is miracles. Miracles are a resonance on God's time clock. When you can come into perfect synchronicity with his time clock, removing your reasoning and now exchanging it for the resonance, a miracle will take place. Whether it's a healing, whether it's a provision, whether it's a reconciliation, that is a resonance of heaven's frequency collapsing because you've decided to align with heaven's frequency over bringing heaven down to bow to the earth.

Dr. Robyn Kassas: And I think that causes us to be able to reach out with feeling, feelings in a different way.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: So we're going to go to the break. We're going to come back and we're going to talk on a couple of keys that are important to understand before we move on.

Guest (Male): You're listening to First Love with Dr. Robyn and Dr. Nathan Kassas. The story isn't finished yet, and neither is what Jesus wants to reveal to your heart today. Let's jump back in and pick up right where we left off.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: All right, we're back from the break, and I hope you had time to allow some resonance to take place in your life. I'm here with Dr. Robyn. Dr. Robyn, we're going to go into the why of this entire journey, what its purpose is for.

But before we get there, which I'm going to give to you at the end, I'm just going to now insert some counseling perspectives. My job is to provide the process and to help people along the levels of finding what level they're at and specifically in that level what God is removing and adding. Because there has to be a removing for there to be an adding.

I want to just quickly bring up there are three mindsets and strongholds that stop us from connecting to last week's stage, which is God's heart field. The first mindset, we all know it; it's called the performance mindset. This is the belief that doing qualifies you for being loved. It says if I achieve enough, serve enough, produce enough, then I am accepted.

I want to bring out of the scripture, Matthew 3:17, where the Father says, "This is my beloved son in whom I'm well pleased." The key here is that Jesus was affirmed by the Father before he did anything. No miracles had taken place, no healings had taken place, and God said, "This is my beloved son in whom I'm well pleased." Love is the starting line with the Father. It is not the reward. It's always the starting line.

Dr. Robyn Kassas: Are you talking about productivity?

Dr. Nathan Kassas: That's going into what you said about productivity. Again, the performance mindset, you can't be in God's heart field if you're living in a "let me get to the end so I can be loved" kind of mindset. Unfortunately, this is where productivity becomes your identity. You work for God instead of living with him and in him.

Dr. Robyn Kassas: And it's a wrong mindset. It's a stronghold. It's what you've built in those augmented realities and virtual realities. It's that fortress of thoughtress, literally, that plays your life.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: So, what's the truth to counter that? Well, God is not moved by our accomplishment; he is moved by our attachment. I teach on attachment to humans and attachment to the Father. We have to get a right attachment style in order to go on this journey. The Yada Times will reveal where your attachment style is off, whether it's an anxious attachment, disorganized, and all of that will come out more in First Love episodes later on.

The next mindset is the self-judgment or shame mindset. This mindset says, "God knows me, he knows everything about me, but he cannot delight in me." This is what we were talking about in the union episode where this was Adam hiding behind the tree even though God already knew where he was. He hid behind those fig leaves. "Where are you, Adam?" And this was the first time Adam said, "I hid myself because I was afraid because I knew my own nakedness."

Dr. Robyn Kassas: I think that we sometimes are like Adam in that and that we still hide. We still put the fig leaves on. I mean, the Lord knew where he was. The Lord knew what he was doing, but he had to see what he was doing.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: I said last week in our sermon on Sunday, that conversation that Eve had, that was the first time she had ever questioned God in her head. So it wasn't the fruit that jumped off the tree and into her mouth. What was the result? It was because of a wrong conversation. Wrong conversation leads to these mindsets: performance, shame, hiding yourself.

Dr. Robyn Kassas: Definitely leads to the wrong mindsets. Conversations that we have, especially with one-sided communication conversation. That's a wrong-sided conversation, self-talk. It doesn't bring intimacy because there's just one person speaking. One person. We know that we have to have someone who can have an interrupting argument in the situation. But if you're just the one person speaking, there's going to be no interrupting argument.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: And I've learned as a psychologist, interrupting argument is what keeps you mentally sane. If I was left to my own thoughts, my world would be what I believed it to be. But that would be absent of truth because what I feel and what the truth are are two very different things.

Scripture there to back that up: in Psalm 34:5, it says, "They looked to him and were radiant, their faces were not ashamed." So, if you are struggling with this shame, self-judgment mindset, the stronghold is this: you are allowing God's forgiveness for your shame, but here's the key, you're not allowing his affection. That's a difference in allowing him to forgive you but allowing him to enjoy you and delight in you.

Dr. Robyn Kassas: Well, we talked about that last week in that very style of life, you know. But we've had a style of life of religion, and you're talking about things like that: religion, productivity, and mindsets.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: These are all the things that would prevent you from going on this journey into God's heart field. You might go on the first step, second step, third step, but we said last week the ultimate destination is to move into how he feels, how he emotes, and then imitate that and emulate it in your own body, feel that resonance.

Dr. Robyn Kassas: As you say the things that can hinder you and hold you back, I'm bringing forth that this is important, a treasure to be able to have that relationship. It brings you spirit-led communication, like I just said. No time, no space in the spirit realm, and we can have all that. So why would you want to settle for the other?

Dr. Nathan Kassas: Exactly. And it robs you. It robs you totally. Here's something that you need to understand: the shame, self-judgment mindset numbs the heart, and numbness makes the heart field impossible. You can't get God's heart field if you are constantly judging yourself and hiding behind the fig leaf and living in shame. You can't go into a heart if you are afraid to be seen. Like you're saying, it has to be a level of heart-to-heart communication.

Dr. Robyn Kassas: And we can reach out with the right feelings, not the shame and everything else, and then look into vision and such. But we choose these other things that really do stunt our growth.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: They do, most definitely. The next one, the final one, is the "I must know everything" mindset. This stronghold seeks control through understanding instead of trust. "Lean not on your own understanding," right? That's a very important scripture, Proverbs 3:5.

But here's something: "In all your ways acknowledge him." Now, that word acknowledge is actually interchanged for trust. God doesn't want you leaning on your understanding of what he is doing, because you're not going to understand it. Faith cannot be understood. But in everything, he wants you to lean on trust, his character. Don't trust you understand intellectually what he is doing.

I've got a statement here: "We attempt to think our way into God's heart instead of yielding our heart to his."

Dr. Robyn Kassas: I was just thinking just then about a statement that I made about we can reach out with vision. I think sometimes God was so wise that he made mankind to vision and to be a visionary, imagination. Because you then can't interrupt that and you can't damage that because this is something beyond you. When you move into the spiritual realm, you start to reach out in vision.

Dr. Nathan Kassas: Wow, so true. To add to that statement, Proverbs 3:5, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, and in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

Now, this is an important thing. Trust means I have to lean into something and someone. But here's something I keep on saying: some think. "Some think" is always some thinking. It's always a mindset that's going on in our mind that we're processing life through. So, I just thought I'd add that one.
