Pastor Thom Keller: There are false Jesus spirits in the world today that represent themselves to be Jesus. I have had a little experience with this, and what I have learned is that in this realm, you may never get here and you may never encounter this, but in this realm, if you ever encounter a false Jesus spirit and the person sees that spirit, that spirit will not want you to look at his eyes.

It can imitate everything about Jesus, but not the eyes. When I have encountered this a couple of times, I say, "Look at their eyes. Just look at their eyes." And they will say something like, "Oh, that is not Jesus." Just like that. It is the eyes. Because the eyes are the windows to the soul, they cannot get that right.

Pastor Thom Keller’s developing a discipleship series, and we are spending a little extra time getting to know the various gifts that God gives to us, like the gift of prophecy. It is important to realize not everything in the prophetic realm is of God. Jesus warned us in Matthew chapter 24 that in the last days, many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. So, it is important to be on guard and know how to tell the difference between the true and false prophet. Here is Pastor Thom to help us with that.

Pastor Thom Keller: I want to read some clips out of "Deceived by the New Age" regarding these voices. This is what he says. For a bit of background, he was not a Christian. He was from the United States, went to England, and went to a special New Age class. This was his experience.

Wednesday evening finally arrived. The format of the class was similar to the previous week's session. Amazingly, at one point during the group meditation, the front of my brain suddenly lit up as if a light bulb had been switched on inside my head. This time Muriel, the leader, was invoking the presence and energy of a master called Lord Maitreya. She referred to him as being the Christ. I had always assumed that Jesus was Christ, but apparently Maitreya had this title also, whatever it was supposed to mean.

When it was my turn to channel, Muriel repeated the invocation. "We see Will—this man's name is Will—in a sphere of golden Christ light. He is aligned to his higher self to bring forth a message of wisdom from the Lord Maitreya." She said the energies of the New Age are now much stronger on the planet. Will said the energies of the New Age are now much stronger on the planet. The changes taking place in civilization will speed up. This will cause some turmoil and negative side effects, but in the end, the Golden Age will be ushered in and mankind will be blessed.

This time, I noticed I was able to channel a longer message than I had the previous week. I started out with just a single idea in my head. I did not know where the idea came from, but as I began to speak, the words just seemed to flow out of me. Soon, however, the words stopped. After everyone in the circle had a turn at channeling, Muriel announced, "We are now going to split into groups of three and do triad channeling. Take turns to channel each other's psychic messages that come from your higher self."

People in the light circle split up into groups of three. Muriel introduced me to two women with whom I was to work. One of the women, Rosie, was a pretty and likeable woman in her mid-20s. We sat on the carpeted floor in a triangle formation. It was agreed that Rosie would start first and channel me a personal message. Now again, he is from the United States, but he is in England. We closed our eyes as if in meditation. The other woman started to speak. "We see Rosie in the center of the triangle of golden light," she said. "It is the Christ light. Rosie is aligned to her higher self and is able to bring forth a message of wisdom for Will."

I opened my eyes and relaxed as Rosie meditated for a few moments. She started to speak. The words came very slowly and with difficulty, as if she were straining in order to physically perceive a message entering her mind. She said, "You have recently been thinking about a certain woman. She has had a very strong influence in your life in the past. Her name is Jenny. Jenny Jane, Jenny Jane." I was absolutely stunned. What Rosie had said was astoundingly accurate. I had known a woman named Jenny James when I lived back in the States. Jenny was a psychologist and personal friend who had been a radical influence in my life.

Rosie continued, "She has long black hair. Your relationship with her was not a romance. It was platonic, but very powerful nonetheless, an intense and special relationship." I was utterly amazed. Everything Rosie had said was correct. I had not had any contact with Jenny for about three years, but I still regarded her as a special influence in my life. She was also a New Ager and had introduced me to astrology. I waited for Rosie to speak more. Finally, she said, "You will not have contact with her again." With excitement, I told Rosie and the other women that everything channeled had been 100% accurate. Test of accuracy is truth. 100% accurate. Just think about that a little.

At the end of the class, I went over to the hospitality area and spoke with Rosie. "Rosie, have you been involved in this kind of channeling activity for long?" Listen. "No, not at all," she replied. "In fact, this is the first class I have ever attended." I was surprised by her answer. I had automatically assumed she must have been an experienced channeler. "You mean you have never done channeling before coming to this class?" I asked. "That is right. This is the first time." "Wow," I exclaimed. "You have incredible psychic ability."

Let me just say something on the side here. I remember years ago, I was at home and I had a radio station on. It was not a Christian radio station, and they were interviewing a woman who told this story. She said, "I have been reincarnated from a former life. I was, in my former life, a nun in a monastery during the 1500s when the Vikings or somebody came in, stormed the monastery, killed everyone, and pillaged the monastery and left. I was killed in that battle as a nun."

She said, "But before I was killed, I always had a scene in my mind. Before I was killed, there were Bibles that we had. We didn't want them to get them. There was this one stone that we knew we could move out of place, put the Bibles behind, and then put the stone in place so they wouldn't find the Bibles. Then they killed me." That was in the 1500s. She decided to go over to England. She found the monastery, she found the stone, pulled it out, and the Bibles were still behind it.

Now I am thinking, "Whoa, this is real." I mean, what do you do with that? It sure makes reincarnation seem real. And then I thought that Satan knows everything, right? He knew there was a nun. He knew she hid those Bibles. He is able to take the past and parlay it into a lot of credibility to promulgate his false doctrines and false religions. So my point back to her channeling that message is he knew about this Jenny James. He knew all about that and could just take that and parlay it into credibility to make him think there is really something to this.

So let me go on. Something else he says. He says, "I had been meditating for only about four or five minutes. The discomfort in my back was intense, and I had difficulty sitting. Cramps affected my legs as if I had been chained in stocks for several hours. Suddenly, a physical force that I had never felt before seemed to come upon me. Brilliant light filled my whole being as if my whole body had become an incandescent lamp. I felt and perceived this sphere of light to be encompassing me and permeating every cell of my body. My brain especially was flooded with light, as if a thousand-watt bulb had been switched on inside my head."

"I noticed I had lost all sense of weight and discomfort. My backache was gone. A mysterious force now acted dynamically upon my posture. I felt as if someone very strong took a hold of my torso and forcefully straightened my back and shoulders until I was held fully upright. All remnants of muscular tension had entirely disappeared. I did not feel any sense of apprehension over what was happening. On the contrary, I felt a deep sense of peace. I noticed I had lost all sense of gravity, as if I were completely weightless and were levitating just above the floor."

"Yet at the same time, I was very much aware that I was still sitting in a corner of my bedroom. My mind, my rational thinking, was still functioning normally with clear and precise logical thoughts. I had not taken any drugs whatsoever. Suddenly—this is as he is meditating—suddenly a man radiating intense golden white light stood before me. My first perception was that the mysterious shining figure looked just like Jesus Christ. Immediately, a strong intuitive thought of knowingness surfaced that told me this person was Kuthumi, the high-ranking member of the White Brotherhood of Masters."

"He was a master who had dictated to Alice Bailey the contents of the metaphysical books she had published under her own name. He appeared to be surrounded by so much brilliance that I could not make out any background scenery. All I could see was his kingly form surrounded by light as he stood motionless before me. I noticed his curly golden hair resting upon his shoulders. He wore a long white robe. His arms hung at his side. His feet were hidden by the light that enshrouded his entire being."

"Even though I had difficulty distinguishing his facial features because of the intensity of light that seemed to emanate more strongly from his face, he looked handsome and dignified. In spite of the fact that I was enveloped in intense cosmic energy, my mind and intelligence did not in any way feel hypnotized or possessed by Kuthumi's presence. I had sharp clarity and awareness in my thinking."

There are false Jesus spirits in the world today that represent themselves to be Jesus. In his metaphysical works, Kuthumi contends that 49 human beings presently living on the planet, most of them in remote areas of the Himalayas, are ascended masters. As a group organization, he calls them the Hierarchy of Masters, also the White Brotherhood, or the Masters of Wisdom, or the Hierarchy, or simply the Masters. The leader of the Hierarchy, a master called Lord Maitreya, holds the exclusive office or title of the Christ.

Kuthumi claims that Jesus Christ is a senior-ranking member of the Hierarchy of Masters and asserts that the great legendary gurus from India, such as Buddha, also form part of the brotherhood. He contends that the Hierarchy are working for the spiritual evolution of humanity on planet Earth in all its aspects: religious, political, technological, scientific, and cultural. Kuthumi specifically teaches that Master Jesus is alive on the planet, busily directing the destiny of Christians by telepathically transmitting ideas into the subconscious minds of the leaders of the Christian church.

So, they do not take away from the idea of the Christian church and receiving messages from God, just that Jesus is one of the ascended masters, as those other ascended masters are speaking into their respective religions. He emphasizes that Master Jesus is a man who evolved himself over successive incarnations and imitations until he became the immortal Son of God, just as the other masters, just as Buddha, also became sons of God.

He says, "I became one of the many people who are now consciously serving the masters and the other spirit guides through a direct and personal relationship with him." He became a Christian, by the way. He says, "On a global basis, millions of people are being lured into following the inner guidance of their higher consciousness through meditation and other consciousness-raising techniques. Opening the door of the mind to the higher self really does allow one to contact the realms of the spirit."

"At the time, I never supposed that the powers of the spirit world that I was turning to were the same powers that the Apostle Paul warned against in his message to the church of Ephesus, where he said, for from Ephesians 6, 'We are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies: the evil rulers of the unseen world, these mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world, and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world.'"

"Kuthumi's specialty is counterfeit religion. He is a master forger who tries to lead even the elect astray, if that were possible. As a Christian, you need to be aware of the activities of Kuthumi and his colleagues. Masquerading as Jesus Christ, they sometimes appear to be Christians, attempting to deceive them into believing that they are being visited by the real Jesus. At the time of my dramatic rescue from the New Age movement, I discovered that the masters and other cunning New Age spirit guides have a leader. He is, of course, Satan, alias Lucifer, alias the devil. Long ago, the Apostle Paul warned us of his deceptive powers. 2 Corinthians 11:14: 'Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.'"

When Sue and I went to Russia shortly after the wall came down, a young interpreter came up to us. He was so excited. He said, "You are Christians!" I said, "Yeah." He said, "I am a Christian too!" He was the first one we ran into, and I thought, "Wow, this is really cool." I said, "Yeah?" He said, "Yeah, I am a Christian too. I believe in Jesus, I believe in Buddha, I believe in the Vedas." And my face went from excitement to disappointment because there is a lot of crazy stuff out there.

This thing about listening to the voice of God, this is another book that mentions Reese Howells. In his book, he says that Hitler was guided by a voice. It said the only time that he did not listen to the voice was the decisive moment. The voice told him either to go to battle or not to battle in a certain battle. It was the only time he did not listen to it, and that was a turning point of the war. That was Hitler. He was guided by a voice.

So, be very careful. Look at 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, verse 9. "The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth that they might be saved. And for this reason, God will send them strong delusion that they should believe the lie."

He says all power, signs, and lying wonders. At one point, Jesus says so much so that if possible, it would even deceive the elect. And so I tell people, when you read about signs and lying wonders, for him to be able to get close to deceiving Christians, it is going to have to look like, smell like, walk like a duck. But it is not a duck. You with me? It is going to have all the marks of being genuine and feed something in their flesh. That is right. Very good point. Absolutely.

So, be very careful about this. I use this example. People will say, "What makes you believe that Christianity is the one right religion? How do you know it is true?" Well, there are other ways of doing that. But they will say, "What about all these false religions? How do you explain that?" And I said, "Listen, let's start at the beginning. Satan, God wants all of us to get to heaven. I am going to make this very simple. I am a simple man. God wants us all to get to heaven. Satan wants us all to go to hell. That is it. Is that a fair summary? Basic bottom line."

What does Satan have to work against? Satan has to work against the fact that God loves you and he will forgive you for everything you have ever done, just ask him. And when you do that, you then come into a relationship with him and you become his adopted child, and he will love you and take you to heaven. That is what he has to work against. No money, no intellect—or I would not get there. Just believe. That is what he has to work against.

And so, rather than work directly against that, he sends counterfeit religions. Something that addresses that need, because in Ecclesiastes, Solomon said that God has written eternity in the hearts of men. There is something about us that believes in something after this life. I do not think dogs think that—maybe you know different than that. You groom animals. I do not think dogs think about life after death. I do not think cats think about life after death. We do.

So, he has to come up with something that will still get people to hell, and so he creates a false religion and many false religions. So, I use the example: let's say that behind that door—Nick, I am going to use you—behind that door, there is a treasure chest. And in that treasure chest, there is a million dollars. And I am going to give you a key, and you walk through that door and you open that treasure chest—I will give you time to do it—and all that money is yours.

And you say, "Now wait, let me get this right. On the other side of that door, there is a treasure chest. And how long do I have?" "You have a minute." "The treasure chest is four miles away." "No, no, it is right on the other side of the door." "When I get there, the key won't fit." "No, when you get there, the key will fit." "The million dollars is play money." "No, the million dollars is US tender. It is good money." "There is another door behind that door." "No, no, you can get through the door to the treasure chest."

"When you go into the room, there is a nutcracker. You know, the thing with a nutcracker, the Christmas—there is a nutcracker and there is a key inside his mouth. You have to open the mouth and there is a key in there. Take the key." And so, you ask all the questions. "It won't fit." "It'll fit." "The nutcracker mouth is welded shut." "No, it's all—you can do it all. You can do it." And I say, "Are you up for it? Is there a cost for this?" "No, it's free. You just go in. It's everything I said."

And so, you say, "Okay, I'm up." And I start the watch. I say, "Get, go!" And you go through the doors and on the other side is a treasure chest and 100,000 nutcrackers. You have a minute. See, and that is what Satan does with false religions. He gets us in that room with all these false religions. He gets us all caught up in those that we lose our way to the one true way to God. It is all diversion to keep us from the real. Do you get it? Yeah. And so, it is a strategy to deceive to keep us away from that.

I want to make another point dealing with this before we move on to the prophetic and on these visions from God. I believe—I personally believe—that anytime someone encounters someone from the past, they are dealing with a demon.
