Today's headlines from the end times begin with a recent report showing that Israel could soon cross a prophetic threshold. A Canadian physician was charged nearly $30,000 for refusing to inject a 14-year-old boy with puberty blockers. A recent legal battle in Colorado shows this medical disaster could soon come to the U.S. Plus, new Apple Watches will always listen to their surroundings, 15 seconds at a time. I highlight these stories with prophetic implications on today's Watchman on the Wall program.

Greetings, fellow watchmen on the wall, and welcome to another headlines from the end times. The Jewish fall feast of Sukkot begins at sundown today. For us English-speaking Gentiles, that's better known as the Feast of Tabernacles. It's the third and final fall feast of Israel, as you move from Rosh Hashanah, which typifies repentance, to the holiest day on the Jewish calendar, Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement—a picture of redemption. And then we move to the Feast of Tabernacles, Sukkot, a picture of rejoicing. Isn't that the gospel message right there? You go from repentance to redemption to rejoicing.

It's amazing to think about that. As we think about Israel and this fall feast, we're also thinking about a prophetic milestone that Israel could soon approach. According to reports, for nearly 2,000 years, the Jewish people lived primarily outside of the land of Israel. They survived expulsion, persecution, pogroms, and eventually the Holocaust under the Nazi party and Adolf Hitler. They were scattered across virtually every corner of the world in what many people refer to as the Jewish diaspora.

Now, that extraordinary pattern of history is moving rapidly in the opposite direction. New figures were released by Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics and reported first by CBS's annual "Israel in Numbers" report ahead of Rosh Hashanah. It estimates the worldwide Jewish population is approximately 15.9 million people. Again, worldwide, they estimate there's 15.9 million Jewish people scattered about the world. What's fascinating about that is that 46% of them now live in Israel.

According to one of the world's leading Jewish demographic experts, Israel could soon cross an astonishing threshold within the next decade if this trend continues at the same rate that it currently is. For the first time in the modern era, a majority of the world's Jewish people could be living in the land of Israel. In other words, they are very close to crossing that 50% threshold.

Experts suggest that could be crossed as early as 2035. Again, that is built entirely upon the premise that the current rates will continue. If they continue at the present rate, then by 2035, in less than 10 years, we should be over 50%. Now, that could escalate. That rate does not have to remain the same. As a matter of fact, we're seeing a trend where more Jewish people are moving to Israel as they feel more unsafe and as anti-Semitism and Jewish persecution is rising in North America and in parts of Europe like France. Many Jewish people are deciding to migrate to the land of Israel.

It is very prophetically significant to watch this development. Let's get into the numbers a little bit more to show you why this is so significant. Consider how dramatically the picture has changed. According to reports, at the end of World War II, only about 5% of the world's Jewish population lived in Israel. By 2023, that number had climbed to approximately 45%. Israel's Jewish population grew from roughly half a million in 1945 to more than 7 million, while the Jewish population outside Israel decreased over that same time period.

The demographic expert has also described Israel as essentially the major growing component of Jewish people around the world. Whether that's higher fertility rates, immigration, demographic decline, or stagnation in many diaspora communities, we continue to push the center of Jewish life toward Israel. Friends, this lines up with what the Bible says and the story of Bible prophecy concerning the regathering of Israel.

It's a two-step process that we understand from various scriptures, whether you're looking in the book of Isaiah or in the book of Ezekiel. Ezekiel 36 describes this for us, and in 37, there's an illustration given of that truth. I've shared this with you before, but it bears repeating here very briefly. What we see happening in Ezekiel 37, that valley of dry bones—as the bones reassemble and the bones come back together and flesh and skin is put onto those bones, but the bodies are still dead. They're not standing on their feet as an army.

What we see happening is that's typifying the first step. It's a regathering first in unbelief. There's no breath in them, no spirit, no Holy Spirit within them. But the second step is when Ezekiel prophesies to those bones and commands them to live, commanding the breath, the Holy Spirit, if you will, to enter into them. That will be the regathering in belief. That will happen through the tribulation period as you connect the dots with other prophetic scriptures. You see that the prophetic movement of the tribulation is called in Jeremiah "the time of Jacob's trouble."

The tribulation focuses on Israel. That's what Jesus is describing in Matthew 24. His Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24 and 25 is predominantly about what's going to happen to Israel during this time. That's the discussion at play in Matthew 24 and 25, talking about the tribulation, not talking about the church. That's very important to understand. We see step one is a regathering in unbelief, and these demographics are bearing out that that is happening in our day. We're watching this take place before our very eyes with each passing year as more and more Jewish people move into Israel. Now millions are living in the land. How fascinating it is to see the dry bones there in that valley. One day, the breath will enter them, as Romans chapter 11 prophesies as well, that a remnant from Israel will be saved through the tribulation period and that God will accomplish his divine prophetic plans for the nation of Israel.

Now let's get back to some more headlines from the end times. Let's stay in North America but go up to Canada. Did you hear about this Christian doctor in Canada who refused to inject a minor with a puberty blocker? He was fined thousands of dollars. That's the story from Prophecy NewsWatch. They ask this question: "How much does it cost a doctor to say no?" In British Columbia, the answer is $28,100. That's right. That's how much family physician Dr. Henry Agiero has been ordered to pay after refusing to inject a 14-year-old biological boy with a medication that was prescribed to suppress his natural puberty as part of a gender transition pathway for this 14-year-old biological boy.

Five years later, the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal declared that decision discriminatory and ordered this physician to pay $20,000 for "injury to the teenager's dignity, feelings, and self-respect." That's a direct quote from them. He has to also pay another $8,100 for expert evidence presented against him, plus interest in the judgment until the judgment is satisfied. This is what medical conscience now looks like in Canada. You've got to obey and inject, or you've got to pay a very hefty fine.

When the doctor discovered why the drug was being administered, he said he couldn't participate. He cited his religious beliefs, his cultural background, and his lack of experience with this area of medicine. This tribunal acknowledged that his decision was not malicious in its intent. It accepted that he acted in good faith and that he felt unprepared and uncomfortable. But they decided to punish him in spite of all of that—in spite of saying he wasn't being malicious and he felt uncomfortable and unprepared. They decided to charge him tens of thousands of dollars.

Good faith was not enough. Lack of experience was not enough. His clinical concerns were not enough. His Christian conscience was not enough to protect him from this. We say, "Oh, that's in Canada. I'm in the United States of America." Friends, this story could soon be repeated for physicians all across the United States. There's a similar case taking place in Colorado as we speak. The state of Colorado is forcing a doctor to medically transition patients or risk prosecution.

This comes from the Alliance Defending Freedom, a report from their agency. The ADF attorneys are representing the Christian Medical and Dental Associations and a Christian medical practice that filed a federal lawsuit recently challenging a Colorado law that forces healthcare professionals to participate in what they call gender transition procedures for children and adults, even when doing so violates your religious, ethical, and medical judgment. My goodness, look at what's standing in the way.

CMDA, the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, is a group of Christian healthcare professionals with members in the state of Colorado who practice consistent with their faith. The Button Family Practice is a family-owned primary care clinic that serves patients in a small town in southern Colorado by providing patient-centered medical care. Dr. Button is a physician and CMDA member who operates the practice according to his religious beliefs.

ADF Senior Counsel Bryan Neihart has recently said, "Colorado is once again at war with common sense, sound science, and religious freedom." He went on to say, "Forcing doctors to perform dangerous, unproven gender transition procedures against their medical judgment, their oath to do no harm, and their faith is unconstitutional. The state is not allowed to conscript doctors to harm the very children and adults entrusted to their care. The First Amendment trumps Colorado's mandate to embrace the lie of gender ideology."

The Colorado Supreme Court and another Colorado state court recently interpreted the state's anti-discrimination law to force medical providers who prescribe hormones or perform procedures for other conditions to also provide gender transition drugs and surgeries for children and adults or risk prosecution. Furthermore, the law prohibits medical providers from explaining their reasons for declining to provide gender transition procedures on their websites or listing that to the public in any way, shape, or form.

As I said, friends, these things could soon come to the United States of America. Let's not kid ourselves about where we are in this world as physicians who have a Christian worldview, a biblical worldview. They are now being forced to possibly pay thousands upon thousands of dollars for refusing transgender kinds of procedures, injections, and the list goes on. Do you see there's no real neutrality here? The secular message for a long time was that we just want neutrality. We don't want to speak about God in our schools. We don't want to speak about the Bible and prayer in school. We don't want the gospel being shared in school. We just want secular society to remain neutral in all these things.

Where is that neutrality today, dear friends? Where is that saying "let's live and let live"? No, we're not seeing that at all, are we? No, we're seeing the curtain being pulled back, and the real force behind this push for secularism from just a few decades ago has really come to the fore and really been revealed. The mask is being pulled off, and we understand the way that this world is rapidly moving. It fits perfectly with a biblical end-times scenario where the Antichrist will masquerade as a hero, but eventually his true colors will be revealed as he shows himself for who he truly is: anti-God, anti-Israel, anti-Christian, anti-Jesus, anti-anything that is real, that is genuine, that is true, that is honest, that is moral, that is decent. His true colors will come out during the tribulation period.

As we move to some other stories, I don't know about you, but when I was a kid growing up, I heard a little kid song that said, "Be careful little mouths what you say, for the Father up above is looking down in love, oh be careful little mouths what you say." Well, that's not just a good song for teaching kids some biblically moral lessons, but we've really got to be careful what we say, even when we're sitting with someone that we love. I'm not saying that someone that we love is going to betray us, but a device that they're wearing may end up betraying us after all.

Apple is coming out with a brand-new smartwatch. They've had the Apple Watch for a long time, but they're coming out with a new version that has some interesting new features that make you scratch your head and say, "What's this all about?" Apple is really getting ahead of this. They're saying, "Don't worry about the new listening features in our new Apple Watch." It includes several intelligent listening features that have privacy and security baked in, they promise.

But the protections can't change the facts of what these tools do. This is a report that comes from *Wired*, a technology resource. The new Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 come not just with better fitness tracking and upgraded noise reduction, but also a whole new way to listen. Apple announced recently that the two smartwatches come with four opt-in audio intelligence tools that are powered by audio gathered by the watch's microphones. They include sound and music recognition, a conversation recap feature, and what they call a Live Rewind.

What this Live Rewind does is a user can see a transcription of anything that was said in their environment in the previous 15 seconds. So what am I saying? I'm saying that people who are wearing this brand-new Apple Watch that's coming out are recording 15 seconds of audio constantly. It's constantly overwriting those 15 seconds, but if a user presses a certain button on their watch, it'll store that 15 seconds. They can go back and review it.

Imagine talking with someone who's just wearing one of these watches, and you're sharing something very sensitive. They could capture that audio and use it against you down the road, whether that's a family conversation or whether that's something that's supposed to remain in private. It could be secretly recorded. Now, Apple is trying to get ahead, saying, "Look, we are not going to be able to access this. It's only stored on the device, and it's at the user's discretion." But what I am saying is that we could be recorded and not even know it, 15 seconds at a time.

We understand some of the implications that the words that we said could be recorded. I know that we have all had that experience with a smartphone if you've been around it very long at all, where you're just having a normal conversation and then you go online or you get on social media and you're seeing advertisements for the very things that you've been just chatting about. It's crazy, and this technology is rapidly moving to a whole other level.

It's not just for these kinds of things that people will wear on their wrist, but it's also getting into some of the policing capabilities. Clearview AI has some policing tools and technology that they are giving to police departments and security forces all across the world. They are testing an AI tool that would let cops unearth your life online. It is called Inquiry IQ. It's a prototype that's testing a model with AI capabilities to link a whole bunch of information together.

Clearview AI has developed an experimental AI tool that could extend facial recognition searches into broader automated research, including information on a person's online identity, background, and associates. In other words, they could take the AI recognition feature of a smart camera that the police could use. There are story after story after story of how this could work. But for instance, think about some of these Flock cameras that people have been up in arms about—and rightfully so, I believe. That Flock camera recognizes, "Hey, there's Josh Davis. He's driving down this certain road. Let's get a detail about who he is. Who does he know? What has he posted online recently? What are some of the things about him?"

It builds a whole profile about who I am, and it builds what it calls a candidate graph of possible identity and associates, perhaps my address, my phone number, my employer, my social media accounts. If I have a history of arrests and a criminal history, all of that could be compiled into one database. Now, again, this is being tested; it's not in use by any police departments yet. But the very fact that this technology is here shows you again the steps that we're taking in this progression and how the world could be controlled by someone like the Antichrist when he comes onto the scene and the tools that could be at his disposal to use to control people all over the world, thanks to some of these kinds of technologies that are coming onto the scene in our day. Friends, let's remain vigilant. Let's remain aware and awake as we are seeing the signs of the times emerge with each passing week. But ultimately, we remember that God is still on the throne and prayer changes things, and that's what causes us to keep looking up.
