The headlines are moving fast, but what do they mean through the lens of Bible prophecy? Well, it's time to find out. Here's Josh Davis with headlines from the end times.

Greetings, fellow watchmen on the wall, and welcome to another Headlines from the End Times, as we show how the pieces of God's prophetic puzzle are coming together with each passing week. We begin today's episode by a twisted story. That is about the best way I can describe this. It's hard to follow the details, but I'll try to explain it to you. It just reveals the apostasy present in some denominations.

The Episcopal Church celebrates its first trans dean. It's a woman in a lesbian marriage to a trans-identified pastor, so reads the headline from the Christian Post. My goodness, what a convoluted mess this is to try to untangle. As we've said numerous times here on Watchman on the Wall, when you leave the authority of God's Word, when you leave that foundation, you open the door to all kinds of confusion and nonsense.

This story really bears that out. A Wisconsin cathedral has installed what is believed to be the first trans-identifying dean in the history of the Episcopal Church. The Reverend, loosely called, I would say, Micah Cronin, is a woman who identifies as a man, and she's married to another woman who identifies as a man. Both of them serve in what they consider to be ministry, but it is not ministry.

She took the helm of the All Saints Cathedral in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on August 16th, according to reports. The cathedral draws an average of about 70 people every single Sunday. Cronin is married to a woman who is also considered to be a Reverend, a trans-identifying pastor who serves in a Lutheran LGBT-affirming ministry at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

This Reverend, loosely called, talks about growing up Methodist and realized that in the Methodist Church she wasn't really accepted for who she thought she was. She wrote, "I've always loved myself as Micah. The churches I was raised in were not able to receive me as I am. But as a young person, I heard through the grapevine that the Episcopal Church would accept me. I knew that no matter what, I had to follow Jesus."

That statement makes me cringe, but it also grieves me that this person is so confused in sin, saying, "I know I have to follow Jesus. I want to follow Jesus. I want to find a church that will accept me as I am, a church that will celebrate my sin." That is so grievous to think about, friends. People who are so blind to the truth. We see that the door is open for the acceptance of all kind of sin in certain denominations that have become utterly apostate.

Let's pray for people who have been sucked in by the lies of Satan, sucked in by the deceit of this world, and those that are sitting under the ministry of people like this that have also been so deceived, so blinded by the god of this age. I'm not speaking about Almighty God; I'm speaking about the satanic forces, the Luciferian forces at work in this world. Oh, may the Lord open eyes and hearts to the truth before it is too late.

Another story is equally shocking as we move from Wisconsin over to Maine. A Christian mother is appealing to the US Supreme Court after being barred for taking her daughter to church and exposing her to the Bible. That's right. That's happening in the United States of America. The Maine Supreme Court ruled that a mother cannot take her 13-year-old daughter to church and cannot expose her to any kind of religious philosophy or the Bible in general without the approval of the daughter's father.

The mother is seeking an intervention from the US Supreme Court on this matter. The mom in this situation has primary custody over her daughter. They're divorced; they're not living together, her and the girl's father, and the mom has primary custody. They have said, yes, she's a fit parent except in religious instruction.

This goes back to December 2024 when the Portland, Maine District Court ruled that Ava's father, his name is Matthew, he would have full control over all religious attendances, including the right to make final decisions regarding his daughter's participation in other churches and religious organizations. The court ruled that there had been no showing of harm to the child associated with a belief system that is rooted in the Bible, but took issue with the biblical teachings of eternal salvation, heaven, hell, angels and demons, as well as teaching the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter.

The court is taking issue with churches who are just preaching and teaching the Bible. This shows you the direction that we are heading, friends, and it is certainly a headline from the end times as we understand that voices that speak the truth, this shows us that attempts are being made to silence the truth-tellers in this generation.

Churches that are preaching the truth, that are standing on the authority of God's Word, that are just saying, "This is what God has said and this is what it means," we are quickly becoming public enemy number one. Court cases in the United States of America are very troubling when Christians think about the right to exercise the teachings of our faith.

The daughter and mother have suggested different church options to the father. He's rejected all requests since December of 2024. And so the mom has been unable to take her daughter to church. She's not able to take her to any religious event. She's not able to take her to any religious organization. She's not able to take her to church on Christmas. She's not able to take her to church on Easter, Resurrection Sunday. She's not permitted to even read the Bible or religious materials to her daughter.

Her daughter has been barred from contacting church friends at her home church, which is a Calvary Chapel church near Portland, Maine. The mom cannot take her daughter to any kind of service gathering or event associated with Calvary Chapel or expose her to any material, literature, videos, messages associated with or created or published by Calvary Chapel, according to the legal language.

Look at how strict this is. Look at how much of an overreach this truly is for friends. Part of the story goes that the father was complaining that the church was making him an enemy to his daughter because they were praying for him to be saved. Since he's not saved in their view, then he becomes the enemy to his daughter and to the church.

That's not why churches pray for people to be saved. We don't pray for people to be saved because we hate them. We pray for them to be saved because we love them, and we want to see them get right with God. People in this world don't understand that it's loving compassion that motivates Christians to pray for the salvation of their souls. It is one of the most compassionate things the church can do to pray for those who are unsaved.

He also complained that the church was teaching about the Rapture and that it was causing her daughter a little bit of stress. We don't have to be afraid of the Rapture, and God didn't reveal the Rapture to us to bring fear, but to bring comfort.

But I digress. Let's get back to this story. The Liberty Counsel is representing the mother in this case. They've appealed this court's ruling, and in November of 2025, the case went to the Maine Supreme Court for an oral argument. The Liberty Counsel, who is legally representing the mother again, says that this ruling is clearly unconstitutional.

He said, "This opinion rejects the First Amendment right of a fit parent to raise her child consistent with her Christian faith. This opinion goes against other state court decisions involving custody in the context of religious free exercise rights and ignores legal precedent from the US Supreme Court."

Well, the father went so far as to hire a sociologist recognized as an expert on cults to testify before the court. Because the pastor of this Calvary Chapel spoke with authority and said the messages that he spoke from Scripture were objective truth, this sociologist expert called this church a cultic organization.

She said that because cults are branded by a charismatic leader who teaches a transcendent belief system that offers answers and promises some sort of salvation, therefore Calvary Chapel was a cult. Can you believe this? They are trying to get Bible-preaching, Bible-teaching churches labeled as cults because we believe that there is one set of truth and that other views opposed to it are false.

The common-sense belief systems are not being upheld by these courts, and my prayer is that the US Supreme Court would display some common sense and overturn these rulings because this is a very dangerous precedent that's being set forth. We need to see with open eyes exactly what is happening.

Now let's get back to more headlines from the end times, and we'll go over to Germany. As a German far-right party wins a first and crushing victory in state elections, but they are unlikely to lead a future government. This comes from All Israel News. Germany's far-right Alternative for Germany, this is a political party there in Germany, won a first crushing victory in a state election just over a week ago, triggering outrage, fear, and consternation across Germany, particularly among the Jewish community.

Most Jewish leaders decried the victory, which is widely being described as the first time a far-right radical or even extremist party has won an election in Germany since the Nazi party in the 1930s. This is a shocking development, friends. This mostly rural state lies in the center of former East German territory and is in the midst of a decades-long economic stagnation.

This state is roughly the size of Israel at about 12,000 square miles, but only has about a fifth of Israel's population with around two million people living in this particular region. This political party garnered just under 50% of the vote, over twice as much as Germany's ruling Christian Democratic Union party that received under 20%, losing more than half of its votes from the previous election.

However, this translates to 39 of the 83 seats in this state's parliament. Again, this is not for Germany as a whole, but this is just for this particular state. And that makes this party three short of a majority. Charlotte Knobloch, the 93-year-old Holocaust survivor who leads the Jewish community of Munich, warned that the election victory is a sign that the foundations of democracy in Germany are no longer functioning. She said that she could not have imagined this victory even in her worst nightmares and that, on days like this, it's difficult for her to recognize her homeland anymore. She said, "I say quite openly that this frightens me."

Friends, this is something that we need to keep an eye on as extremism is rising around the world and anti-semitism continues to escalate. It's all part of God's prophetic plan. I believe that part of the anti-semitism push that we're seeing in the Western world, whether that be Western Europe, in North America, is causing the Jewish people to return to Israel.

Thousands of Jewish people each year are moving back to Israel. As a result, it's fulfilling part of God's Bible prophecy in Ezekiel 37, that Valley of Dry Bones. We see that the bones come back together. The muscles, the tendons, the ligaments, the skin, all come around those bodies. And yet it's still a vast field full of bodies that are reassembled but not alive. They're not breathing. They're not standing. They're not moving at all.

That's a picture of the coming re-gathering, first re-gathering in unbelief. And that's what we're seeing. Some of the anti-semitism is pushing the Jewish people returning to Israel, and many of them moving there. A re-gathering first in unbelief that will lead to a second re-gathering. And that's what Ezekiel saw in that Valley of Dry Bones, Ezekiel 37, that the spirit, the breath entered into those bodies, a type of the Holy Spirit.

And the bodies came back alive. They were reanimated, and they stood on their feet as a massive army. That's a picture of that second re-gathering promised in Isaiah and in Ezekiel, a re-gathering for the second time in belief. And we see that as typified in the biblical end-time scenario. It's amazing to see how things are pushing us in that direction. But it's troubling to understand some of the developments that we're seeing now in Germany.

And switching gears to another story, the transhumanist push. Should we update God's design? That's a question that Answers in Genesis asks and answers from a biblical perspective. But the story behind this is interesting to consider. We understand that Alzheimer's has no cure. It's a terrible disease. I know I've had some family members who have passed away, and in their last years wrestled with Alzheimer's and dementia and those kinds of things. It's a terrible thing to watch.

Why wouldn't we encourage more research? We're seeing medications come out. But now there's talk of other kinds of surgical intervention. Experiments have put silicon chips inside of animal brains that they say could be something like a memory prosthesis, that you're inserting this kind of a chip into someone's brain that could help them restore lost memories and rebuild their cognitive abilities.

Should we go down this path, or are we creating some kind of transhuman kind of thing? Well, in a recent National Geographic article, one author put it this way: "Our cars are for our feet. Our calculators are for our minds that does our math, and Google is our memory. Our lives are now only partially biological."

The point is being made we're already living in a part biological, part technological age. So is it okay to merge these chips into people's brains if it helps to restore their memory, if it helps them to overcome those things? These are big questions that we need to think deeply about.

And there's some complications as we go down this way. Some of the philosophy underlying some of this push is saying that we are accelerating human evolution. We're overcoming some of the physical bounds and some of the mental limitations. Part of the questions that we need to be asking about these kinds of things is, are they just going to be used for people who have memory problems, or can perfectly healthy people use these kinds of brain chips to enhance their mental capabilities?

Are we trying to push the brain beyond what God created it to be, and could that lead to some disastrous consequences as a result? It's things that we need to be asking ourselves, things that we need to be paying attention to. You see, transhumanism promises to make humans more advanced through robotics, merging us with machines, and even uploading our consciousness into computers. In essence, it's desiring to reinvent what humanity is. Why not leave the shackles of these frail bodies and buy into this transhumanist vision for what it ought to be?

And so these questions cry out for clear biblical perspective on healing and wellness and in all of this thing to guide us into God's truth. We understand, first of all, that we are under the curse of sin. All of us age, all of us die. And we understand that the Bible says that our life passes just like grass or like a flower. It's here for a week or for a month or for a few months, and then it eventually drops off.

This time of year across the United States of America, the trees are beginning to change colors, those leaves are beginning to die. And as they die, they drop to the ground, and we see that cycle end in death. And it feels like our human lives are that way, and we want to intervene. We want to extend life as long as we possibly can. But do we realize what this life is all about? If that's all that life was, that would be such a discouraging thing to ponder.

But this is not all that life is. And Bible prophecy is the story of a future hope. Bible prophecy is not all doom and gloom and the coming Tribulation and the Antichrist and 666 and all those things. The story of Bible prophecy ends with victory. It ends with the return of Christ and His millennial kingdom and then after that the eternal age when all things are made right, when the curse of sin is defeated once and for all.

In fact, Revelation tells us that much as John zooms in in Revelation chapter 21 and 22, the new heaven, the new earth, and all that he begins to see. And as chapter 22 opens, he reads and understands that there will be no more curse. The curse of sin will be totally done away with once and for all. And we will have our resurrection bodies, a body that never gets sick, a body that never forgets, a brain that is never subjected to Alzheimer's or dementia or anything like that. Our brains will work as they were designed by our good Creator to work.

And so, while medical science can lead to some amazing breakthroughs, and while we need to have a push for wellness, we must also remember that no matter what we do to intervene, we will never overcome death. We will never overcome disease because it is part of the curse on this world. And if medical science believes that it can conquer death or disease, it's sadly mistaken because it cannot.

So many people in this world today are hungry for eternity. They're hungry for wholeness. They're hungry to live without the impacts of disease and death and decay and corruption and trouble. But the only way to that life is through Jesus Christ our Savior. No, you won't find it in this world. You won't find it in this life. But you will find it in eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And that's the amazing truth of Bible prophecy. And that's why I'm sharing this headline from the end time with you today. Number one, the brain chip thing is pretty crazy and far out there to think about the possibilities. But number two, it's a call for us to fix our hope on eternity, not on the here and the now.
