Southwest Radio Ministries: It's time once again for Headlines from the End Times with Josh Davis. Each week, Josh takes a look at the latest news and trends through the lens of Bible prophecy. Here's Josh Davis.

Josh Davis: Greetings fellow Watchmen on the Wall and welcome to another Headlines from the End Times. As we show how the pieces of God's prophetic puzzle are coming together with each passing week, we begin today's episode by looking at the country of Turkey.

I've shared on recent episodes of Headlines from the End Times how that Turkey has these military ambitions and they've been working with some of the countries mentioned in the Ezekiel 38 coalition of nations. It's interesting to see some of the statements that have recently come out of this country that show its leadership has ambitions to conquer Israel.

In fact, a recent headline read: "Jerusalem will be ours again. Turkish interior minister is dreaming of conquering Israel." The story reports that the ongoing tensions between Israel and Turkey reached another high point recently after Turkey's Interior Minister suggested that Jerusalem could one day be reconquered by the successor state to the Ottoman Empire.

This is the ambition of the current leadership in the country of Turkey. It's to re-establish itself as the Ottoman Empire and to regain control and to be the dominant force, the key Muslim nation in the Middle East, the gateway between Europe and Asia. Turkey has these ambitions and part of that ambition is to conquer Jerusalem, to conquer Israel. And they have been aligning themselves with other nations who have the same desires.

Speaking at a party convention, Turkey's Interior Minister said, "Just as we witness the liberation of Damascus, Aleppo, and Karabakh, Allah willing I should say, one day we will also witness the liberation of Jerusalem." Now he's talking here about the defeat of the Assad regime at the hands of the Islamist alliance, which receives significant support from Turkey.

This Interior Minister went on to say that he has a heartfelt plea to Allah. And this is his prayer: "O Allah, grant me the governorship of Jerusalem, even if just for a single day." He desires to rule over Jerusalem even if it's just for a single day, and this is his prayer that he's praying to Allah.

He went on to say at this recent political convention, "I still believe that the Almighty, that Allah, will show us those days. He will surely show them to us. I have believed this with all my heart and I continue to believe it. Just as in the past, those lands will be ours once again. Allah willing, they will come under our sovereignty and dominion once more because we have a global leader like President Erdogan at our helm. we have a world leader."

Again, friends, this shows you the heart, the desire of those in leadership with President Erdogan. Make no bones about it. Now Israel came back and fired back saying, "No, no, no, no, no, not so fast. This will not happen under our watch." And quite frankly, Israel is correct.

How do I know that? Ezekiel 38 and Ezekiel 39. And I know that we constantly mention these passages because geopolitically, we see the alignment of nations. You see the spirit in the nation of Turkey among its current leadership, friends. If we're seeing this, how close must we be to the door?

I believe that the Ezekiel 38-39 war will happen soon after the rapture of the church. America will not rush to Israel's side because in Ezekiel 38, Israel stands alone when nations like Turkey will rise up against her and form a coalition with other nations.

Now you say, "Well, I don't see Turkey mentioned in Ezekiel 38." You have to study some of the place names. Places like Meshech and Tubal that are mentioned specifically in Ezekiel 38. If you study that out and see where these places were historically speaking, you understand they were in what is modern-day Turkey.

There's other locations that are mentioned in the Ezekiel 38 coalition that are in modern-day Turkey. And so in other words, they're going to be a key part of the Ezekiel 38 coalition. And that battle that is fought, God Almighty, not Allah, but Almighty God, fights for Israel, defending her and defeating her enemies.

I believe this is going to be a coalition of extremist Islamic nations that would come against Israel, and then that in turn would set the stage for I believe what could be the peace treaty of Daniel 9:27 with the Antichrist, with Israel. We could see the Antichrist empire come into shape where it is a spirit of worship, of self-centered worship, that would permeate this tribulation period.

Geopolitically, we see the pieces of the puzzle continue to fall into place and this story reveals the ambition, the desires of the leadership of the country of Turkey. And this is not going to change. This is only going to grow when we talk about prophetically speaking.

I'm resting all of my statements upon what we understand when we rightly divide the Word of God. It's always so amazing to me to see how that God's Word has showed us and told us exactly what's going to happen. And when we see these headlines, we understand that God's Word is perfectly true and perfectly right.

Now we don't just look geopolitically, we also look at other venues and other categories to understand the signs of the times. Things like technologies that the Antichrist could use. I believe and I've shared with you before that we are marching step-by-step-by-step towards a global digital database of all the world's citizens.

When we have that database that is all coalesced into one big pile, one big old pile of everybody in the world with maybe the face scan, fingerprint scan as they're doing in the European Union and other places around the world, even in Africa and from continent to continent, people are collecting this kind of biometric information.

Once that's in a centralized database, it could easily be accessed and controlled by someone like the Antichrist. And so in the name of safety and security, in the name of keeping track of people and making sure that bad actors don't get across certain borders, we are getting on board with a system that the Antichrist could use.

I'm not saying if you use this technology that you've received the mark of the beast or that you've aligned yourself with the Antichrist. That's not what I'm saying. If you read Revelation 13, which is one of the key passages describing the Antichrist rule during the tribulation period, when you read that chapter you instantly realize this is a highly spiritual movement.

You see it's not just about the economy or the world government and globalism and all those things, it's a very spiritual movement at its core. And so we see no one will receive the mark of the beast by mistake, no one will receive it by accident, they won't get duped into it, they won't get tricked into it.

No, but what we're seeing is the conditioning of people's minds, of people's hearts to say this is normal, this is the way that the world works, this is the way that technology opens doors for us to be global citizens and to move freely from one country to the next.

We see the technology is already in place to make these things happen and one of the global technology leaders is Google. Of course, they're headquartered here in the United States of America, but it has its focus on other countries around the world as it is expanding its digital wallet with digital IDs and age credentials in the European Union.

I've reported here on Headlines from the End Times before and something that I've kept track of and kept you abreast of is this move towards the entry and exit system that they have in the European Union. So Google is bringing new ID features and digital age credentials to its Google Wallet.

Now what are digital age credentials? Well, it's age verification, and a lot of countries are debating this right now. Should a smartphone, for instance, with its built-in camera, be able to identify the age of the user so that they could access certain websites or be restricted from accessing certain websites?

This is a debate that a lot of countries in the world are currently having. And so Google has the technology in place to bring in new ID features and digital age credentials to its Google Wallet, the digital wallet. Now if you have an iPhone, you have the Apple Wallet and you can store tickets on there, you can store plane tickets on there, you can store your credit cards on there so that you don't have to carry those physical cards. You can just scan your phone and make a payment.

Google has this on its Android platforms. Well, Google has announced that it's expanding its capabilities with age and identity core to the new technological conveniences. They announced this at a recent conference in Europe. The US-based technology corporation recently launched digital IDs in other countries like Brazil, India, Taiwan, and the UK.

Now they're preparing to deploy ID passes to select European Union states this summer. Nations like Estonia, Ireland, Spain, France, and Italy will soon be able to scan their passports to create a digital passport in the Google Wallet. No more need to carry your passport around as long as you can keep up with your phone or have access to your Google accounts, then you've got it saved in the Google Wallet.

Again, it's just showing you step-by-step-by-step how the technology is already here. The blockade that a lot of technology companies experience is only one thing: legality. Legality. And when the Antichrist comes onto the scene and he rewrites the world's laws, then he can use these kinds of tools that are already here.

But the fascinating thing I want you to see, friends, is that the tools are here. The tools are ready to be used. The technology is here to allow someone like the Antichrist to usher in his reign of world domination as the Bible describes for us in the tribulation period.

If these things are here, if the spirit of the age is here, if the technology is here, how close are we to the rapture of the church? Now I'm not a date setter, I'm not one to tell you a certain date. I believe that's a foolish and unbiblical thing to do.

I believe that our focus needs to be on sharing the good news of the gospel with others while we still have this window of time. My heart has recently been stirred towards missions and for reaching out to this world while we still have time in many different efforts.

By the way, let me insert this little comment here. Over the last couple of years, we've had the opportunity to partner with TWR, a wonderful radio ministry that has radio towers and radio stations all over the world. This next story I want to share with you in Headlines from the End Times really disturbed me. Not in a gross sense, but in one sense it was a gross sense. Well, let me just share the headline and quit teasing it, but this is the headline: "Madness. Church Committees Protest Requirement that Clergy be Monogamous."

That's right, this comes from Prophecy News Watch. There's a Christian denomination that has spent years revising its teaching on sexuality and now they're discovering that once biblical authority is untethered from church doctrine, there is no obvious place to stop. We're talking about the Presbyterian Church USA.

There's a more conservative branch, the PCA, Presbyterian Church of America. This is the Presbyterian Church USA, more liberal expression of the Presbyterian Church in America. This denomination, the Presbyterian Church USA—I'm trying to be so very clear about which Presbyterian denomination this is—has already affirmed same-sex marriage and ordained openly gay clergy.

Now they're considering a proposal known as Con-10 that would require ordained ministers to be in monogamous sexual relationships. The proposal is aimed at stopping polyamory—or having multiple lovers—and polygamy, multiple spouses, arguing that multi-partner relationships create power imbalances, emotional harm, and spiritual confusion.

I say yeah, that's pretty obvious and it's very biblical. I mean, just read some of the passages. I want to come back to passages like 1 Timothy chapter 3 that are so very explicit and so very clear on these kinds of things.

But when you start down this slippery slope, anything and everything can come in. We've warned people about that for years and years and years here at Southwest Radio Ministries. Once you untether yourself from the biblical foundation that the Word of God is our guiding force, then anything that you think can be right.

It's popular opinion that wins the day, not the standard of God's eternal timeless Word. So once you untether yourself from that, then you're just headed down the slippery slope and we see more evidence of this. Some people have said, "No, no, no, no, no, we won't go that far." Well, look, here it is, happening in the Presbyterian Church USA as they're debating this very thing and will be voting on it very soon at their upcoming convention.

What should be straightforward affirmation of historic Christian teaching has instead become a controversy within this denomination. Three official church advisory committees have criticized this proposal. One committee warned that requiring monogamy could risk harm. Can you believe this is happening?

This is the spirit of our age. This is the spirit of end times worship in the apostate church that'll be very prevalent under the Antichrist rule. Part of that Revelation 13 coalition that we all just come together and we do whatever we want to do and we have beliefs that are just at a bare minimum and not really beliefs in anything at all.

They were arguing that the measure reinforces systems of privilege. Very liberal lines of logic. A third suggested that the denomination should continue studying diverse understandings of relationships. Activist groups outside the denomination have gone further, describing the proposal as backward, and they're trying to host educational events on—get this—they call it "Faithful Polyamory." You can be faithful but you can have multiple lovers at the same time. Give me a break.

That's what is ironic about all of this. The striking feature of this debate is not that a secular institution is questioning monogamy, it's that a church is struggling to defend it. We know that for nearly 2,000 years the Christian teaching on marriage was remarkably consistent: sexual intimacy belongs within a covenant union between one man and one woman marked by fidelity and exclusivity.

We're talking about church leaders here, friends. We're talking about the standard that would be placed upon pastors and church leaders and clergy in and among the church. This denomination is at a crossroads and they're going to vote on this proposal during their general assembly scheduled for June 29th to July 2nd in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

We need to be seriously in prayer for what we see happening. Friends, we understand what God's Word clearly says. What a deceptive lie this is and the devil is using this fake Christianity to deceive so many people into buying the lies that'll be perpetrated during the tribulation period through figures like the Antichrist and the false prophet and the system of worship that'll be on the stage during that time.

What a sad state of affairs we find ourselves in. But friends, as I said, the need of the hour is urgent for the true church to stand firm on the scriptures, to stand knowing that God is still on the throne and prayer changes things. We need to shine our light brightly in this present darkness so that people can understand the truth and come to the truth. Oh, may God help us to recapture that today and to proclaim it loudly across this world while we still have this window of opportunity.
