Southwest Radio Ministries: Welcome to Watchman on the Wall, a daily outreach of Southwest Radio Ministries and swrc.com. Headlines from the end times with Josh Davis is coming up. But first, I have an update for you as we approach the end of March. Friends, we have a problem. Giving this month is currently running $25,000 behind budgeted expenses. That means we need your help.

Please pray and support Watchman on the Wall with a gift today. Visit swrc.com or call 1-800-652-1144. Please give your best gift today. Swrc.com. Today's headlines from the end times program is going to reveal the gripping struggle for authority in our world. The secular worldview wants the individual to be the authority, not God nor His word.

This last-day spiritual battle is witnessed worldwide in current headlines. Josh Davis highlights several such stories, including an atheist group that wants Christian chaplains barred from public school sports teams in Florida, a sad milestone for euthanasia in Canada, and an update on a Brazilian woman facing prison for expressing her opinion on transgenderism.

Josh Davis: Greetings, fellow Watchman on the Wall, and welcome to another Headlines from the End Times. We begin today's episode with an update on a story I shared with you a few weeks ago. In this case, there's good news to share. In fact, there was a court case win. The court has dismissed charges against a Brazilian woman who was facing up to 10 years in prison for questioning gender ideology in an online post that goes back several years.

A Brazilian federal court recently ruled in favor of a veterinary student charged with transphobia for her social media posts. Under these charges, she faced a potential prison sentence of 4 to 10 years for content posted to X, then called Twitter, back in 2020. The Federal Regional Court of the Fifth Circuit unanimously decided to dismiss all charges and to close the case.

In its reasoning, the court stated that her X comments did not contain any attack, threat, or hostility toward individuals who identify as transgender, nor did they incite violence, lacking the intentional elements required in criminal law to sustain a conviction for what they have labeled as transphobia in Brazil. With this decision, the court sets an important legal precedent that opinions are not grounds for criminal charges for, as they deem it, transphobia.

So, this is good news because she gave a biblical perspective on transgenderism and did not call out any particular individual. As the court ruling suggests, that alone got her brought into court. The very fact that that got her brought into court and that these things were even considered is egregious enough. It shows you the mindset of our world and how we are morphing into, as the Bible predicts in the last days, the perilous times that shall come.

2 Timothy chapter 3 says men shall be lovers of their own selves. When self is on the throne, God is not on the throne. When self is the authority, God is not the authority. When self is the authority, God's word is no longer the authority. Those with a biblical worldview, those who are calling people to another authority, are then viewed as the enemy.

We may see more court cases like this as the world becomes increasingly secular, increasingly humanistic, and increasingly wanting to serve at the altar of self rather than to bow the knee to the authority of almighty God. This is evidenced in the next story I want to share with you. The Freedom From Religion Foundation demands that a high school baseball team bar its chaplains.

The baseball team at Northpoint High School in Sarasota, Florida, is facing the wrath of atheists. According to reports, this baseball team has a chaplain who's affiliated with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a very large Christian organization that's on campuses all across the United States of America and, might I add, legally so.

The Sarasota chapter of the FCA posted a message on Facebook saying that they were praying over each coach and each player by name. That was enough to draw the outrage of the Freedom From Religion Foundation. That is, if you're not familiar, a Wisconsin-based group of atheist predators. They target small towns and small communities on a mission to remove Christianity from the public square altogether, through schools primarily. I've seen that in small communities all across America.

A staff attorney for the Freedom From Religion Foundation wrote in a letter to the school district, "A public high school allowing an outside adult to act as a religious advisor to other people's children is unconstitutional and particularly troubling for those parents and students who are not Christians or do not subscribe to any religion." The atheists argue that it's unconstitutional and inappropriate for public school athletic programs to allow an adult to serve as a chaplain.

They're calling on the district to investigate and then ban the FCA from serving as chaplains. A school district spokesman told reporters that the school district remains committed to upholding the First Amendment and ensuring that all school-sponsored programs and activities are conducted in accordance with state and federal law. I have worked in campus ministries and have been around groups like FCA and other wonderful campus ministries.

It is perfectly legal. There are certain understandings that we need to have about what makes these kinds of things legal. It has to be student-initiated and student-led, and they can have these kinds of campus ministries. To say that you can't have a Bible at school or you can't pray at school is simply not the case. Students are allowed to carry their Bibles to school every single day.

They're allowed to pray in schools. If they are told they're not supposed to when it's free time—if it's during instructional time, things like that, but if it's like a study hall or lunch and the student pulls out their Bible to read it—they are more than protected by the laws of the land to do that very act. We can practice our Christian faith in this land and it's protected by the laws of this land.

Campus groups like FCA and some of the other wonderful campus ministries are fully protected by the laws of this land. If this school district understands those laws, they will understand that there's nothing unconstitutional about a high school baseball team having a chaplain. As one commentator said, this time the atheists have struck out on this baseball team.

Another story that we want to cover for you today as we go north of the United States border into our neighboring country of Canada. By the way, I'll be going to Canada here shortly. I'll be in Saskatoon, so for any of you who are in that region, it's a wonderful Bible prophecy conference. It'll be two full days, Friday and Saturday, April 17th and 18th. You can find out more information by visiting our website, swrc.com.

There's a banner that scrolls and it talks about that particular conference. Plus, we have a conference coming up May 1st and 2nd. We're going to be back in Wichita, Kansas, at the beautiful Sunrise Christian Academy. That's all day Friday, all day Saturday, May 1st and 2nd, 2026. More information about that can be found on the events page at swrc.com. Click on events.

Now let's go back to this story about Canada. Assisted suicide has become a leading cause of death in Canada. As Canada approaches its 10th anniversary of legalizing assisted suicide, the nation is also nearing an egregious record: 100,000 deaths by the practice. That is legalized assisted suicide. Based on that number, this so-called medical assistance in dying—isn't it interesting how they always try to clean up some of the language and the verbiage that's used?

It's pro-choice. It's not pro-abortion. We're not arguing that we ought to abort babies, but we're pro-choice. You see the shift in language to make it more sanitary, to make it more palatable for people to say. Medical assistance in dying: that's what they call it in Canada. It's one of the leading causes of death in Canada, making it soon to be the first nation in the modern era to reach over 100,000 euthanasia deaths.

Canada's yearly total is more than all other countries combined. Get that, dear friends. The number has gained attention due to some influencers in Canada who are against this medical assistance in dying and who are warning of its increase in as many places as they possibly can. One such influencer, Kelsey Sheron, has recently said, "MAiD, as they refer to medical assistance in dying, was sold as a narrow option for the terminally ill, a rare mercy."

"That fiction collapsed long ago. Today, assisted death is a routine outcome for people struggling with disability, isolation, poverty, and mental health challenges. When the world looked at what we're doing, it did not approve; it recoiled." That is so true. I recently read a story of a young man in his early 20s who chose to go down this path because he was dealing with diabetes.

It had impacted his eyesight, and he had dealt with seasonal depression and some other mental health kinds of issues. He chose to go down this route in his early 20s to end his life. This medical assistance in dying in Canada, his family was horrified at that. They said, "We've got to do something to reverse this. We've lost our son; we've lost this young life just because he was dealing with a lifelong health issue."

Assisted dying was legalized by the Canadian Parliament with the passing of Bill C-14 back in June 17th of 2016. Now it's approaching the 10-year anniversary and nearing this terrible milestone of 100,000 deaths. According to the law, a citizen is eligible to receive medical assistance in dying if he or she is 18 or older and has an "incurable illness, disease, or disability," and is in an "advanced stage of irreversible decline in capability," and has "enduring and intolerable physical or psychological suffering that cannot be relieved under conditions the person considers acceptable."

There are some other requirements, but I think that's enough to give you a picture of this. It goes back to what I said at the very beginning with our first story, and that is the issue of authority. Who is sovereign over life? Who is sovereign over giving life? Who is sovereign over death? In this case, they say that the individual is the sovereign decider of life, the sovereign decider of death.

From the biblical worldview, nothing could be further from the truth. We know that God is the giver of life. God is the one who decides when we live and the day that we die. That is alone in His hands. God is a good God. He's a merciful God. He's a caring God. He's a compassionate God. He's not one who laughingly watches as we suffer in this miserable world.

But He knows there is a good that can come only through suffering and only through trials. He alone in His omniscience and in His divine providence understands the good that can come through the problems, through the suffering. Don't you know what Romans 8:28 tells us, dear friends? God works all things together for good to those who love Him, to those who are called according to His purpose.

He knows how to work through even the bad things, even the difficult things of life, and to tie it all together for good. Now some other details about this story comparing it to other nations in the world who are marching down this same path: permitting assisted death for 20 years now, Switzerland has had 8,738 deaths by euthanasia, and Belgium, which also permits assisted suicide for those suffering with mental illness, experienced 33,647 deaths over a 21-year period.

Let's return to more headlines from the end times. A Mrs. Linda Bennett thought that her 20-year relationship with her big major insurance company here in the United States of America really meant something. I mean, when you pay that bill every month for your house insurance, for your vehicle insurance, and you're with the same company for decades—in this case, over 20 years—you really think that you have something special there.

Well, guess what? She received a notice demanding $20,000 in roof repairs or face policy cancellation. Did they send an inspector to come out to her house to climb up on the roof to take pictures to assess damage? No. They based all of this decision on aerial images that she never knew were taken. No inspector visited her home in Santa Ana. No visible damage existed.

Just an algorithm decided that her roof posed too much of a risk. Welcome to the new world of insurance surveillance, where drones and AI decide your coverage fate from the sky. It's the eye in the sky that you never authorized. Insurers deploy drones, satellites, and aircraft to scan properties without homeowner knowledge or consent. Your house most likely has been scanned by your insurance company without your knowledge and without your consent.

Some of the big major insurance companies in the United States use what's called a mix of aerial images from drones, satellites, and manned aircraft, and then they feed these photos through AI systems to assess roof conditions among other things. They can also check on vehicles if they're parked in the driveway and just all kinds of crazy things that this leads to.

The company has advised customers to submit recent photos or professional inspections if they're disputing the findings from the AI algorithms. Basically, what the insurance companies are doing is asking you to prove your innocence after the robot prosecutor has said you're guilty and they're going to either cancel your policy or you've got to fork over a lot of cash to pay for alleged damages to your roof.

Mrs. Bennett's case isn't isolated. There are many other such cases. In fact, an industry expert, Amy Bach from United Policyholders, explains that drone and AI technology often misinterprets images, leading to overreactions like dropping long-term policies despite no actual changes to the properties. These systems supposedly identify risk markers, but they frequently mistake things like shadows, weathering, or normal wear and tear for some kind of catastrophic roof failure that's going to cost tens of thousands of dollars to fix or replace.

But there's a bigger issue to this, and there's a bigger reason why I'm sharing this particular story with you. It's that Big Brother has a contractor's license now. Nearly every US building has been photographed by insurer-funded surveillance networks. The scale of this is really staggering to consider. The Geospatial Insurance Consortium is funded by major insurers and has reportedly captured aerial images of nearly every single building in America.

Think of it like Google Earth or Google Maps, but it's designed to find reasons to drop your coverage rather than to help you find the nearest coffee shop. Class-action investigations are targeting insurers for potential privacy invasions through these unannounced drone flights. A lot of online comments are now overflowing with homeowners sharing similar stories of surprise repair demands following mysterious aerial inspections.

In fact, it's also created some people being dropped from their insurance altogether when they scanned and saw that there was something going on with a vehicle or something going on with the roof. States are starting to fight back against this kind of "sky spying," we could call it. Regulatory pushback emerges as lawmakers demand transparency and appeal rights for the homeowners in certain states.

California has recently passed legislation requiring a 30-day advance notice before using any kind of aerial imagery for insurance policy decision. The state of Pennsylvania now mandates a 60-day notice period. These laws acknowledge what homeowners have learned the hard way: being watched from above without warning feels dystopian, especially when it threatens your financial security.

People can fight back. Document your property's condition with recent photos and professional inspections. Most states now allow appeals with evidence submission, even though you'll be arguing against an algorithm that's already made up its digital mind about the fate of your roof. The reason I'm sharing this with you is not to talk about the insurance companies or whatever else, but just to show you how these powerful tools are being used to make financial decisions.

Don't you know with the biblical end-times scenario that these kinds of tools will grow and grow and grow? Our world is becoming conditioned to think this is normal. Our world is being conditioned to think that this is the way that things work. We are just being watched all the time. No matter where we are, we can't truly hide in private any longer. All of our life, everything about us, is now accessible due to technology.

Where we are, who we're talking to, what we're talking about, the things that we say, and the things that we do are all going to be for public consumption. That's going to be the mindset, or at least part of the mindset, of the biblical end-times scenario. When the Antichrist and his group come onto the scene and as they begin to wield power and take control of this world, they will be able to use these kinds of tools and technological innovations to help them control the planet and to bring in a one-world economy, a one-world government, and this one-world system of worship.

People will buy into it hook, line, and sinker. It won't be forced upon humanity against their will, but it'll be sold as, "We are giving you everything that you need and we are giving you an opportunity to thrive in this world and enjoy life to its fullest." As people surrender to the authority of themselves, they're going to be willing to worship this false god who is saying, "Worship yourselves and we are giving you everything you need to throw off the shackles of any restrictions of Christianity."

The church will be raptured up; believers won't be here on this earth other than those who'll be saved during the tribulation. The Antichrist will come in and sell a bill of goods that the world will buy hook, line, and sinker. These kinds of technological innovations are conditioning our world to think in these ways and are showing us the powerful tools that are already here at work in our world today and how those same tools could be used to turn against humanity in the biblical end-times scenario. Thank you for joining me on Headlines from the End Times, and until next time, don't forget: God is still on the throne and prayer changes things.
