Dr. Larry Spargimino: We are back with Pastor Carl Gallups, author of a new book, *Golgotha’s Groaning*. Thank you, Pastor Carl Gallups. So good to be back with you. I’m just looking forward to this second program.

Carl Gallups: Larry, the honor is all mine. I can’t thank you enough for having me on, you and your great audience. God bless you.

Dr. Larry Spargimino: Well, you excite everyone because you’re excited about the Lord Jesus, about the Word of God. When you read your books and what you find in the original language of the Bible, both Old Testament and New Testament, everybody should be getting excited about this.

If they don’t know Jesus as personal Savior, they need to start thinking, "He is the Son of God. I need to get right with God by believing in Jesus Christ." Anyhow, we again find the Tav picture of Golgotha in the Hebrew translation of John 14:3, John 14:5, John 14:9 part one and two. Tell us about this and about how you got this message directly from the Lord. I think you were in the kitchen with your wife. Explain that to us.

Carl Gallups: I was. Let me just say quickly, those images are found from the first chapter of Matthew to the last chapter of Revelation, right where they should be. And when I say where they should be, I mean in passages that involve Golgotha. There they are. It’s crazy.

But let me just tell you. I had written *Yeshua Protocol* and *Eyes to See*, and in both of those books, I talk about Genesis 1 and some connections to some Old Testament scriptures. I even talk about Bereshit and the 12 words and then much more too. I mean modern-day DNA, findings in scientific and quantum computing, and all of those different things that are happening today. I was writing about that from the scriptures.

So, I was excited about those two books. People all over the world are reading them. But listen, I’ve written 14 books now, Larry, and I know that sounds crazy because I don’t consider myself to be a book writer. I’m a preacher, and I used to be a cop and a criminal investigator for 10 years with two different sheriff’s offices. So, this is my forte is research and investigation, and I do that with the scriptures.

Well, I don’t sit around saying, "Okay, what’s my next book going to be? I’ve got to write another book, or I’m not satisfied in life." No, I don’t do that. I just wait until something hits my soul and I’ve got to get it on paper. And so, I’m in the kitchen one night. My wife’s cooking. She has her back to me because I’m leaning up against the counter behind her, and we’re just talking.

And then, out of the clear blue, I said, "You know those books *Yeshua Protocol* and *Eyes to See*?" She said, "Yeah." I said, "You know, I’m just now thinking about this. I don’t know why it came from nowhere. I wonder if those same images are in the New Testament." And she kind of went, "You know, that would be amazing." And then I said, "But here’s the problem. It was written in Greek."

And then I caught myself and I said, "But I’ve got a Hebrew translation of it in my office. So, I can go look at it and see." And I said, "If you don’t mind, I’m going to step out of the kitchen and just go look up a couple of verses and see what I find." She said, "No, I don’t care. Sounds like you’re getting another download from God’s throne." She calls my books that. She says they’re downloads. You never talk about them until it hits you, and then you write a book and then there it is.

So, I said, "Okay, well, I’m going to go check." The first two verses that I just randomly picked—I know it was led by the Holy Spirit—had three crosses, the Aleph Tav in the middle, and they were all about Golgotha when you translate the Greek to the Hebrew to the Paleo Hebrew. Now, as we talk about this, brother, I want your audience to understand that is humanly impossible.

When you consider that in the ancient Hebrew, in the first verse, you find it, and then you go through Genesis 3 and on and on, Psalm 22, Isaiah 52, 53, Zechariah 12, all the way to Malachi. That’s mind-blowing. Genesis 22, Abraham sacrificing his son Isaac, a picture of Jesus going up Calvary’s Hill. It’s there, on and on. Okay, and that’s cool, and it cannot be a coincidence.

But think what it had to have happened to be able to see these same images in just the right place from Matthew 1 to Revelation 22. It was all written in Greek, brother, a totally different language than Hebrew. That’s why we use the phrase, "I don’t know, it’s all Greek to me." It’s a hard language. It’s a totally different language.

And so, to translate it into Hebrew is a great undertaking. I use the Delitzsch Greek-to-Hebrew Bible translation still used today by major seminaries and colleges and has been updated by some of his staff and then people that came after him to a few more discoveries we’ve made of the Hebrew language. But it is the hallmark; it’s the cornerstone if you’re going to be a scholar and read the New Testament written in Hebrew. So, I’ve got it. I’ve got a copy of it.

So, I went through it, and there it is. And I’m thinking, this is impossible. This means the Holy Spirit had to—for the Holy Spirit, it’s not a big deal; for humans, it’s impossible—the Holy Spirit had to inspire the exact words of the New Testament in such a way that the Holy Spirit would know that those same exact words when translated into Hebrew, a totally different language, and then when translated and looked at in the Paleo Hebrew, those same images would be right where they should be. I don’t even know how to explain how impossible that is. But it is there, brother. It is there, and they’re all in my book.

Dr. Larry Spargimino: Carl, it’s amazing that this appearance of the Tav is in John 3:16. And then you have more amazing proof. You point out that the book of Revelation includes almost two dozen passages related to Golgotha that have three embedded Tavs.

And then I’m reading from page 189. You say, "I encourage you to read these passages in a meditative manner. I’m certain you’ll feel their majesty, especially now that you know you’re also seeing with your mind’s eye the indisputable symbol of Golgotha in each passage." Explain that for us and the way you so marvelously do.

Carl Gallups: What I did, by the time I got to that point, I said, "You know, there’s already like 80 or 90 illustrations. I think people might get tired of looking at these." And I said, "Now I’ve come across two dozen in Revelation right where they should be." So, what I did, I just reproduced that scripture passage where that image is found.

And I said, "Trust me, it’s there. If you don’t want to trust me, you can follow the footnote, and I give you a link on the internet that will take you to the Hebrew scripture translated from the Greek." And you can, now that you know, you’ve read all the other pages before, you know what the modern Hebrew Tav looks like, and you can look at it and just see for yourself, discover it for yourself.

I would be a fool to lie to people about something like this. So, that way I said, this way you don’t have to look at 22 more illustrations. Just read the scriptures and imagine in your mind’s eye looking at that image in those scriptures. Brother, it’ll blow you away. It is worshipful. I’ve had people write me and tell me when I got to that point and I read those scriptures, some people said, "I wept as I read them." They’re in Revelation; they’ve read them before, but now that you know that God encoded the picture of Golgotha in those verses, it will absolutely blow you away.

Dr. Larry Spargimino: It seems to me that there are multidimensional aspects to the Word of God. I think you maybe explain that. But as I’m reading your book, I’m seeing this. There are different aspects and different dimensions. Fantastic. Tell us a little bit more about that, please.

Carl Gallups: Yeah, I will. Well, first of all, the Bible speaks of different dimensions, and so does quantum physics. One of the most popular views of quantum physics is the multiverse theory, but they say it’s one of the most provable now that we know so much more about astronomy and what’s going on in the universe, that there are multiple universes. Well, the Bible says God created our universe, which means He’s outside of our universe. Well, there are two dimensions right there.

But then there’s heaven, there’s hell, there’s the lake of fire, there’s prison, on and on, these dimensional shifts. Jesus looks at Peter and says, "Satan, get behind me." Did He just call Peter Satan? No, but He’s letting Peter know that the words he’s speaking have been infiltrated into his mind by Satan.

But I’m convinced that Jesus, who is Emmanuel, God with us, was standing looking into the dimension of the prince of the power of the air, probably saw Satan standing behind Peter. Now, I’m just guessing this. The scripture doesn’t say it, but we know there are multiple dimensions of reality.

Paul writes about it in Ephesians 6. He says our battle is not flesh and blood; it’s the unseen realms, with an S, dimensions of powers and principalities that are making puppets out of world leaders and humans. Yes. Now, we get to God’s Word. And throughout God’s Word—and I quote a bunch of them in this book and my other books and in my preaching—in the Old Testament, and I’m going to have to paraphrase right now and just cram them all together into one paraphrase.

But God says things like, "I, the Lord your God, have hidden things, and I reveal them to my children so that they will know that I am God. It is my delight to reveal the hidden things of my Word to my children." Then you get to the New Testament and you hear Paul about 20 times. He says, "Behold, I’ll tell you a mystery: the mystery of Christ and the church, the mystery of the rapture, the mystery, the mystery, the mystery, the mystery, the mystery.

If the rulers of this age had only known, they would not have crucified"—there you go, there’s another one with three crosses and a Tav—"they would not have crucified him." And so, yes, multiple dimensions, multiple dimensions. Now, what God is saying in the Old Testament is, search my Word. There are multiple dimensions.

All right, let’s go back to Genesis 1. What I didn’t say in the first interview I did with you on this was that in that first word, Bereshit, the first letter is magnified. Now, in our language, we would say capitalized, but Hebrew doesn’t use capital letters. But about 16, 17 times in the Tanakh, the Old Testament, there are magnified letters that the ancient Hebrew scholars were writing about, saying that this came from Sinai.

When Moses brought down these revelations from Mount Sinai, these letters were magnified. And they said the only thing we can figure is that God is telling us there’s a mystery here. There’s something to look for, either in this word or in the verse it’s attached to. Now, get this. Genesis 1:1, the first letter of the first word of the first book of the first verse is magnified. Bereshit. In English, our B, but it’s the Bet in Hebrew.

In Bereshit, the first letter, the Bet or the B, if you will, sound in English, is magnified. It’s huge. In the ancient scrolls, it’s huge. And now we know what was hidden there, but nobody could know it until after Golgotha. Now we look, and there are 12 words in that first word. Now we look at the whole verse, and there are three crosses with Jesus in the middle. It’s crazy, brother. So, yes, it is multidimensional, and we’re just now in our age and our lifetime, yours and mine, all of this is being revealed in our lifetime alone.

Southwest Radio Ministries: Friends, I know you will want your own copy of *Golgotha’s Groaning*. It is a very revealing book. Golgotha is known as the place of the skull, but whose skull was involved? And what does the Mount of Olives have to do with Golgotha?

You can get your own copy by calling our toll-free number, 1-800-652-1144. Let me tell you, you’ll be glad you’ve got this book to study, to read, to meditate on, and you will probably be touched in your heart by the power of God as the power of God comes from the Word of God to you, the reader. 1-800-652-1144.

Now, Carl, you argue that the Bible indicates where Yeshua’s crucifixion occurred, and it is not where we have been told the location is, as you call it, the biblical ground zero. So, what is the location, and why is it spiritually significant?

Carl Gallups: Thank you. I do know, and I am right. I’m being funny, but the Bible is right. The Bible tells us. Now, it doesn’t give the exact spot, but it hones right in on it. Let me do this quickly because I know we’re almost out of time. First of all, all through the New Testament, all it appears to say is, "and they took him to Golgotha." And that appears to be the only hint we have.

Why didn’t the writer say, "they took him to Golgotha, which is located at this gate, right outside on a hill to the east, west, north, south of Jerusalem, it’s near this, it’s near that"? Why didn’t they say that? Because common sense, logic tells it. The people that they were first writing to knew exactly where it was.

And all the scholars say that. They scratch their head, some of them saying, "Well, we don’t know." But we do know because watch. Here’s the key. The most famous event that happened in Israel’s life was when he cut off the head of Goliath. You hear Goliath, Golgotha. He cut off the head of Goliath with Goliath’s own sword.

Now, David, the Bible says after he did that, he took the sword and the skull to Jerusalem. Now, that was not yet the capital of Israel, but outside on the hill of the Mount of Olives, just right outside of the gates that would eventually become the gates of Jerusalem, the capital. The oldest worship place of Yahweh, from God’s people after coming out of Egypt, the oldest worship place was on Nob.

The priests of Nob, we hear about them. That’s a place right on Mount of Olives. You can see it from the Temple Mount. It’s that close. But you can see it, that area. And that’s where it says David took the head and the sword to Jerusalem. Now, that was considered a part of Jerusalem. Even today, the Mount of Olives is considered a part of Jerusalem. It has been since ancient times.

But you say, "Well, Carl, but how do we know?" Because the Bible tells us. You go to chapter 17 of 1 Samuel, and it says that about taking it to Jerusalem and cutting off his head, taking the sword that he did it with. But then later in chapter 21, Saul is hunting David down to kill him, and David takes his men that are with him, and they go back to Nob.

And they’re talking with the priests. They’re asking, "Do you have any bread? We’re starving to death." Jesus would use that example later with the Pharisees about the Lord of the Sabbath. But anyway, back to 1 Samuel chapter 21. And David’s up there, and he asks the priests, "Do you have a sword here?" And the question was rhetorical. David knew there was a sword there; he brought it there.

And the priest said, "Yes, we’ve got the sword of Goliath." And it was wrapped in an ephod, a priestly ephod. It was a relic. It was a monumental votive relic that David—now we know where he took it—when he took it to Jerusalem, he took it to the altar of the Lord and gave thanks. It was a votive offering. Well, what about the head?

He probably burnt it on the altar or either buried it. By the time he goes there, it’s rotting and gone, but the sword was there, and the skull had to be with it. The scripture says that. He took the skull and the sword and took them to a place in Jerusalem. Well, the Bible tells us where he recovered the sword.

So, you say, "But the Mount of Olives? I thought it was on the other side and there’s a mountain that looks like a skull." Well, now we know that those eye holes and nose holes were tombs that were cut in long after Jesus was crucified. So, that’s not it. But we know where it is. Now, now watch. Then you go to Hebrews 13, and the writer of Hebrews, which I believe is the Apostle Paul, he writes in chapter 13, "But we have a better altar, our altar of salvation. It’s an altar to which the priests are not even allowed to eat from, and it is outside the gate."

Well, what altar was outside the gate? I mean, you’ve got the altar in front of the temple on the Temple Mount. Back in Jesus' day, there was a bridge that went from the Temple Mount from the temple itself. It went across the Kidron Valley, and it ended on the Mount of Olives, just a stone’s throw away from the priests of Nob and their altar. What was there? The altar of the Red Heifer sacrifice.

They could not eat of it because it was burnt up. It was a total burnt offering, and they took the ashes, mixed it with oils and perfume, and it became the anointing ashes over people, kings, priests, and over the altars of the temple and the horns in the Holy of Holies.

Dr. Larry Spargimino: Fantastic. We are just about out of time, and I just want to mention something. Four New Testament references indicate that Yeshua was taken to a place called Golgotha. Now, to have all four Gospels mention something is unusual. Usually, the synoptic Gospels would mention something, but not John’s Gospel.

But this is in all four Gospels. It’s like the feeding of the 5,000. So, to conclude our show, the reference to Golgotha must be significant. Wow, that just hit me on the side of the face. God bless you, brother. We’re out of time, but you do great work.

Carl Gallups: Thank you, Brother Larry.

Dr. Larry Spargimino: I know we’re going to work with you on Zev Porat's book. He’s a great Messianic Jew in Israel. Can’t get out now, and we need to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. But thank you so much and God bless you in a mighty way.

Carl Gallups: It’s my honor, Brother Larry. God bless you. Look forward to seeing you again sometime soon.

Southwest Radio Ministries: Carl Gallups’ book *Golgotha’s Groaning* is a must-read. The ancient Hebrew text shows an encoded image of three crosses throughout the Old Testament. The image of the three crosses also shows up when the New Testament is translated into Hebrew.

So, how important is Golgotha? Well, all four Gospels mention the events at Golgotha, which is unusual. So, when you read *Golgotha’s Groaning*, the reader will come to believe that the Bible, unlike any other book, contains verifiable evidence of its own multidimensional inspiration.

Dr. Larry Spargimino: Pastor Larry Spargimino returns now, ready to answer an interesting question about angels. In popular culture, angels have become a substitute for God. New Agers are into spirituality, as they call it, and angels are a big part of their spirituality. For them, the God of the Bible is harsh and loves to punish people for their sins. Angels, on the other hand, are not judgmental. They are friendly and say things like, "Hello, don’t be afraid. Everything is just fine."

In Acts 12:21-23, Herod Agrippa, grandson of Herod the Great, made a public announcement. He was not a very good speaker, but the people wanted to please him because he had great power and authority. Scripture says, "And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.

And the people gave a shout, saying, 'It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.' And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost." Evidently, this angel did not say, "Hello, don’t be afraid. Everything is just fine."

Then there are those who believe that angels can bring peace and joy. Of course, that is idolatry; only God can bring peace and joy into someone’s life. And then there are those who want to get messages from angels. They do it through channeling. They have to hire a seer, someone the angels will speak through, and for a fee—maybe $300 or $400 or more—they will get their message.

This is what I call angelic quackery. Do you see what is happening? These people are bypassing God. They don’t want to hear from God. He might interfere with their self-expression. None of this should be surprising. In Romans 1:18, the Apostle writes that people are suppressing and holding back the truth. They are without excuse, says the Apostle Paul.

The power and majesty of God is evident to them from the order and design of God’s wonderful creation. But I don’t want to give the impression that all angels are bad and serve no useful purpose. Hebrews 1:14 asks this about angels: "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" Indeed, they are ministering spirits whom God uses in the lives of believers.

In fact, angels ministered to the Lord Jesus after His temptations, according to Matthew 4:11. And angels have a special ministry with regard to children. "Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones," we read in Matthew 10:10, "for I say unto you, that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven." Angels represent children before the face of the Almighty. Those who want to harm little children better change their minds.

Angels also have a ministry of protection for believers. Psalm 91:11 says, "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways." Psalm 34:7 is similar: "The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them." John Patton, who died in 1907, was a Scottish missionary to the New Hebrides Islands in the Pacific.

The islands were populated with headhunters. Missionaries in that region were dubbed one-way missionaries; they never returned home. On one occasion, Patton and his family were barricaded in their compound. They were surrounded by headhunters. Once the attackers broke through the barricade, it was all over for them.

In desperation, Patton and his wife knelt down for prayer, mindful of the fact that "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much," James 5:16. Soon it grew very quiet outside. What happened to the fierce headhunters? They had all disappeared. Years later, Patton was talking to the chief who had recently converted to following Jesus Christ.

Patton reminisced and asked the chief, "Hey, what happened to those men? Why had they left?" The chief clearly remembered the incident. He said, "Because of the warriors that had come to protect you. They were dressed in shining garments and had their swords drawn, ready for war." John Patton and his wife concluded that the Lord had sent His angels. I believe that God’s angels are real. How can you deny their existence? There are so many passages about angels in the Word of God.
