You Will Sit Next To The King, Part 1 of 2 (Children Of An Awesome God)

January 21, 2019

What if you discovered you’re an heir to a fortune, and didn’t know it? An heir is exactly what you are as a child of God. The Bible says “The Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs… joint heirs with Christ.” The world to come is ours.

When You’ve Been Wronged
Conflict in relationships is inevitable, but healing and reconciliation often is not. Time and again we've tried every option and failed, and all we are left with is a load of guilt and pain. Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows how the blessing the Lord gives to those who suffer unjustly is worth the pain involved. He also illustrates the need to leave our broken relationships in the hands of God and move forward in our lives toward freedom. Resolving conflicts with others can be as painful as it is necessary. We must extend forgiveness when every emotion tells us to “get even.” In this message we hear practical counsel on reconciliation—making things right with God and others.

Most people look forward to getting together with friends and relatives. But many dread these times because it means facing those who’ve hurt us, or worse, those we’ve hurt. How can we put damaged relationships back on track?

Ever hurt someone you care about? Handling the ongoing pain we cause when we sin is a daunting but necessary task. How should we seek forgiveness from those we’ve hurt? Can we expect to see God bring new hope out of our bad situations?

You can’t avoid gravity, and you can’t change the speed of light. Neither can you bypass God’s order that says “you reap what you sow.” God uses this principle to teach His children to avoid sin. Sometimes though, the lessons are hard.

Often we get tripped up in the race of life by returning to the detours of past behavior. For some, it seems there is no way to break out of a cycle of sin, forgiveness, restoration, and back to sin again. Is there hope for those who are stuck in such a ruthless pattern?
January 9, 2019
After great spiritual failures we say with King David, “My sin is ever before me.” So how can our sin not be before God? The answer lies in the concept of “covering.” There is hope for all who fear their sins on earth will never be forgotten in heaven.

Many who struggle with guilt find it returns to haunt them even after they’ve sought forgiveness from God. The good news is that God helps us deal with sin’s consequences, since we are clean in His sight through Christ.
