“Well, you know that’s your religion, but I have my own spirituality.” This sentiment doesn’t account for the voice of God from outside yourself. In fact, your whole life is based upon the Creator’s will and purpose, and it’s prudent to investigate how God made the way back to him. The Greek word “logos” means word or expression. The Gospel of John says, “the Word became flesh.” In this message, you’ll encounter the Word of God coming in the flesh: His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

When you mention “meditation” to some people, they envision an eastern mystic or a guru. But meditation in the Scriptures is entirely different, and it’s crucial for you to let the Word of God reprogram your mind in a godly, healthy direction. You might ask, “How do you meditate?” All that you need to do is to simply ask the text some questions that help you analyze and personalize the truth. In this message, you’ll utilize practical questions to ask of a text to help you internalize the Word of God.

Meditation sometimes brings mysticism to mind. Biblically, however, meditation is not merely a calming exercise. It forms you to follow the path that God has for you. Psalm 1 speaks about two men, two paths, and two very different destinies. “Blessed is the man whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.” Meditation is how the Bible can renew our minds and cause us to live joyful, productive lives. In this message, you’ll receive steps towards the path of blessing.

Does going to church on Sunday morning feel rushed? How do you practically prepare before, during, and after the service? When you come to hear the Word of God, you are listening for your name. You are coming and you are saying, “Oh God, what do You have to say to me today?” If you come to it with pride or to merely listen, then you’ll go away without any transformation. In this message, you’ll take home more from church than you ever thought possible.

Have you listened to a sermon or read Scripture without your soul being stirred? When your heart doesn’t respond, how can you prevent self-deception? Receiving instruction from God’s Word helps you to hear from outside of yourself. You read it not only to learn, but also to find your life changed. The book of James admonishes us to “receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” In this message, you’ll learn how to do just that.

“Is God’s Word sufficient when I feel powerless or hopeless?” You might be facing difficulties that sap your joy. Only by focusing on the Word of God can you have lasting joy that the world can’t take away. In this message, you’ll realize the indispensable value of the Word. That’s why the Psalmist extolled the attributes of the Word of God: “The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart.”
