When You’ve Been Wronged
Conflict in relationships is inevitable, but healing and reconciliation often is not. Time and again we've tried every option and failed, and all we are left with is a load of guilt and pain. Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows how the blessing the Lord gives to those who suffer unjustly is worth the pain involved. He also illustrates the need to leave our broken relationships in the hands of God and move forward in our lives toward freedom. Prayer is something of a mystery. We’re commanded to ask in faith, without doubting. The answers sometimes come from unexpected directions, even unrelated to what we asked for. When we think our prayers are unanswered, we may have received an answer in disguise.

God gave Abraham promises that would not come to pass for hundreds of years. Abraham died before any were fulfilled. Next time you feel like God is a bit slow in answering your prayers, remember: His scale of time is bigger than yours. He has a larger agenda.

Abraham never saw the fulfillment of God’s promises to him. In that light, who are we to complain when our prayers are not answered right away? Today, we’ll gain a larger perspective on prayer, which many of us perhaps never had.

When we pray for something, we hope for a quick response from God. But God has His own clock, which is not always in sync with ours. How do we handle prayers that, to us, are time critical, when the answers seem to be anything but?
