When You’ve Been Wronged
Conflict in relationships is inevitable, but healing and reconciliation often is not. Time and again we've tried every option and failed, and all we are left with is a load of guilt and pain. Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows how the blessing the Lord gives to those who suffer unjustly is worth the pain involved. He also illustrates the need to leave our broken relationships in the hands of God and move forward in our lives toward freedom. Behind every turn in Joseph’s life we see God’s hand. And God has a plan for you and for me—a dream He wants to see brought to pass. If your life seems haphazard, be encouraged that God is in control.

The story of Joseph in Egypt is very dramatic—a former slave rises to power, judging the brothers who sold him into slavery years before. God’s gracious plan was unfolding to save two nations. A dream was indeed coming to pass.

Joseph’s dream was almost destroyed by frightful circumstances. But God saw to it that the dream’s fulfillment had international consequences. There was a far bigger purpose at work than Joseph even realized. And the same may be true for you.

One minute, Joseph was in jail. The next, he became vice-regent of Egypt. But he kept it all in perspective: he knew that God was working out a plan, a plan placed into his heart in a dream. Do you have confidence in the plan of God for your life?

Few of us have ever faced the trials Joseph faced. Between this man and his dream lay injustice, treachery, slavery and prison. His dream was sorely tested. Would he forget God and give up on his dream?

Is the dream you have for your life farther away than ever? This message should help you take heart. Although Joseph had a dream of ruling his brothers, he ended up in slavery. It seemed that his life was falling apart. But for Joseph, the dream never died.

Do you have a dream you hope to attain? Does it seem unreachable? In this message we meet a man from the pages of the Old Testament whose dream had to die before it could come to pass.

A boatload of prisoners was sailing to Rome when their vessel sank in gale force winds. Were it not for the courage of Paul, a fellow prisoner, all aboard would have been lost. As we consider Paul’s life and ministry, this message provides a final chapter in his amazing story of faith.
