Most people go about their everyday lives with no regard for the eternity they will face as either sheep or goats. When Jesus spoke of coming judgment in Matthew chapter 25, He made it clear that there are only two destinies for any of us. Today: some concluding thoughts about the future, and why today is the day to believe on the Christ who can save us from its terrors.

Jesus once spoke of a coming judgment of the nations, a judgment that is designed to separate the sheep from the goats. It is found in Matthew chapter 25, and this judgment is based on how well the hungry and needy were treated while on earth. Today: we will try to understand what this prediction means in the light of the rest of the New Testament.

An Alabama courthouse...a granite monument engraved with the Ten Commandments...and a judge who believed they should stay there. Somehow, many of us have the idea that God owes us His favor. After all, we are Americans, the defenders of democracy. As we run the race of life, let us ask ourselves if God owes us anything. After examining the evidence, we might have to conclude that what He owes us is His judgment. Today: we will consider what God thinks of the US of A.

When our children disobey, we as parents have many creative ways of punishing them to try to prevent future disobedience. And when God judges a nation, He also has many ways of doing it. As events seem to be careening out of control around us, let us take a moment to review the means God may use in judging even our nation in the days ahead.

The Bible gives us words of encouragement as well as words of warning. It is our obligation to understand and heed both. Few of us would make the wrath of God our first choice for a Bible study. Yet, God's prophets thundered words of His judgment to the people of their day. God's warnings to the nations have not changed. Have we? Today: a look at what God's wrath is all about.
