The Tale of Two Graves #3 of 4

November 19, 2009
Square pegs don't fit in round holes, and evolution and creation cannot both be true. Some Christians have tried to bridge the gap...

Bowing to the influence of Charles Darwin, some argue for theistic evolution and other approaches that allow God to stay in the background as natural selection does its thing. Today: more on the influence of a man whose teachings cannot be reconciled with those of the Bible.

In war, killing civilians is called collateral damage. Our culture is reeling from the collateral damage done by Charles Darwin... Taken to its logical conclusion, Darwin's evolution sees humans as just advanced animals, with no more rights than a grasshopper. As society buys into this amoral philosophy, many are now in outright rebellion against the way God created them. Stay with us.

Charles Darwin made history with On the Origin of Species. This book helped launch evolution on its way... The battle lines are drawn. Christians believe in a Creator God. Evolutionists believe in random chance. The bottom line: if there's no God, there's no one to judge our behavior. And a lot of people would like that just fine. Today: we begin a series on "The Darwin Delusion."

Being stuck in the occult is like being stuck in the mud. You may need some help to get free...help that God provides... There is a way out of the bondage of Satanic influence, a bondage that's trapping all too many Christians. Today: renouncing the occult's doctrines of demons, and turning once again to the only truth that sets us free. Please stay with us.

Like the serpent that beguiled Eve, the devil's substitutes for God look good...very good. That's why the occult is so popular..... ....but the occult's teachings are the doctrines of demons...doctrines that bring death rather than life. These are doctrines Christians must avoid like the plague they really are. Today: what those doctrines teach, and why they are so dangerous. Please stay with us.

Satan has many disguises, and he'll do anything to draw our attention away from God. That's why the occult is so prevalent. These days, many people believe more in ghosts than in the living God. We build buildings without thirteenth floors and worry about black cats. Today: we'll expose these superstitions for what they really are: Satanic deceptions. Please stay with us.

The occult: more than Ouija boards. It's the kids who shoot up high schools, and each other. It's a trap we must avoid..... Our culture is tuned to the frequency of occult phenomena like never before. Behind the entertaining face of horoscopes lies the grim visage of demonic powers. Today: how the committed Christian should treat this form of deception. Stay with us.

We've got a hundred cable channels, 22 theater screens, DVDs, the Internet, and Facebook. Hey...who needs more? Today's Christians are awash in a sea of pleasures. We've got time for our plasma TV's and surround-sound movies, but do we have time for God? On this broadcast: we'll all hear a challenge to get our priorities straight. Please stay with us.

Our culture says, "If it feels good, do it." So...does having a desire mean it's always OK to satisfy it? .......no...you can't yell "fire" in a crowded theater because you feel like it. While we all have desires, the Christian satisfies those desires in godly ways. Today: how to live for Christ in a world that's focused on pleasures. Please stay with us.

The TV commercial once said: "You only go around once in life. Grab all the gusto you can." That's not a bad idea. .......but the gusto you should grab is probably not what most people have in mind. A lot of Christians are falling victim to the mad dash for self-fulfillment. Today: you'll hear a challenge to a pleasure-mad culture that's infecting the church. Stay with us.

No one involved in sexual promiscuity really wants to be there. They are trapped, looking desperately for a way out.... It's said that all of Satan's apples have worms...and too many Christians have bitten into casual sex. But God has given us a way out of the lifestyle of so-called sexual freedom. Today: words of hope from the Bible for those caught in the web of sexual sin.
