When You’ve Been Wronged
Conflict in relationships is inevitable, but healing and reconciliation often is not. Time and again we've tried every option and failed, and all we are left with is a load of guilt and pain. Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows how the blessing the Lord gives to those who suffer unjustly is worth the pain involved. He also illustrates the need to leave our broken relationships in the hands of God and move forward in our lives toward freedom. Bad decisions have bad consequences, often affecting the lives of those close to us. How do we unravel the messes we make when we do not follow God’s guidance? How do we handle the problems we initiated before we came to Christ?

King Asa was faithful to God, except at the end of his life. Sadly, his finish line was marred by the consequences of a bad choice. What can we learn from one man’s failure? Can we conclude the race of life well?

At the end of his reign, King Asa’s long faithfulness to God crumbled. He bribed a nearby King with the temple’s gold and silver. Politics can corrupt the best of men, and Asa was no exception.

All the webs we weave through deception entangle us in unintended consequences. One good king of God’s people found this out the hard way, and he failed near the finish line, leaving Israel in a state of war.

Jonah ran from God’s command to preach in Nineveh. But he could not outrun God, who appointed some “persuaders” to change Jonah’s mind: a great fish, a plant, a worm, and a scorching east wind.
