The Light Shines In Rome, Part 1 of 2 (Light Shining In Darkness)

March 22, 2019

Paul was determined to go to Rome, even knowing it could be a one-way trip. He would take the Gospel to the highest levels of government, but en route, a shipwreck threatened to cut the journey short. In this message, Pastor Lutzer shares how this incredible story unfolds and how it should embolden our own faith.

Conflict in relationships is inevitable, but healing and reconciliation often is not. Time and again we've tried every option and failed, and all we are left with is a load of guilt and pain. Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows how the blessing the Lord gives to those who suffer unjustly is worth the pain involved. He also illustrates the need to leave our broken relationships in the hands of God and move forward in our lives toward freedom. Ephesus had silversmiths who sold shrines of the goddess Artemis. When Paul came with the Gospel, their business was affected, and soon Paul found himself in a riot. The Gospel is controversial, impacting even culture and trade, and things can quickly get violent.
