#4 of 4
The problem of evil is perhaps the thorniest issue facing theologians. Clearly, God could prevent evil, but He does not. Since He is in charge, the wars and suffering around us must be a part of His plan for the world. For some, this creates a dilemma they cannot resolve. Are you among those who feel this way? Well, today we will face the issue head-on.

Living With Your Passions
In a hyper-sexualized culture, sex is either reduced to pleasure-seeking or conflated with our identity. But God designed us as sexual beings for emotional and spiritual intimacy whose highest calling is to worship Him. In this revised edition, Pastor Erwin Lutzer draws on forty years of ministry experience to present a rationale for sexual purity. He gives an honest answer to the sexual pressures we face like extramarital relationships, self-gratification, same-sex attraction, and more. As desire-driven creatures, we don't have to pursue happiness at the expense of character. With our identity grounded in Christ, we can live victoriously with our passions. #2 of 4 Most of us are preoccupied with the here and now. But take a moment to look up, way up, and see God as He really is. We are running today's lap of life's race asking this question, "Did the fall ruin God's plans?" The answer has to be "no," because nothing can ruin God's plans. What are the implications for you and for me? To find out, stay with us.

#1 of 4 Get set for a tough lap in the race of life. Consider the possibility that the fall of mankind was planned from the beginning. Is it even possible that God wanted Eve to pick that fatal fruit from the tree in the Garden of Eden? Join us on a mind-expanding journey into God's intentions for the newly created human race...a journey that may not go where you think.

Our Future Decisions #4 of 4 Some theological debates are too lofty to matter much where you and I live. That is not the case, though, with today's debate. If God does not know our future decisions, all of us running life's race are in big trouble. Fortunately, He does know, despite some modern trends in theological thought. To get an accurate picture of what God really does know, stay with us.

Our Future Decisions #3 of 4 Does God know what you are going to do tomorrow? You might say "of course." But incredibly, some theologians are saying, "no way." As we run life’s race, we need a God who knows when we are going to cross the finish line. Today: Pastor Lutzer brings what for some is a theological debate down to where you and I really live.

Our Future Decisions #2 of 4 Like any intellectual pursuit, theology has its fads, such as the idea that God does not know our decisions in advance. Going far beyond the classic debates between Calvinists and Arminians, some now say that God has chosen to limit His omniscience to let us fully express our free wills. Well, today, another lie bites the dust.

Our Future Decisions #1 of 4 Some theologians see our lives as on a chessboard. We make a move, and then God responds with a countermove. These modern thinkers feel that God gives us totally free will, and then adapts Himself to our choices as we make them. To these theologians, the future for God is an unfinished novel. Today: we will see another lie exploded.

Takes No Responsibility For Natural Disasters #4 of 4So, what is easier to believe: seeing natural disasters as the products of blind chance, or seeing them as coming from God? The clear choice is the latter. Only a God Who controls our circumstances is worthy of trust. Today: some final thoughts and some questions about God's hand in what we call "natural disasters."

Takes No Responsibility For Natural Disasters #3 of 4Think about this: can you trust a God who hurls each lightning bolt to the earth during a thunderstorm's terrible fury? Well, the alternative is trusting a God who does not know where the lightning will hit. Today: we probe the mystery of God's hand in natural disasters, and why you and I can trust the God who manages each of our personal calamities.

Takes No Responsibility For Natural Disasters #2 of 4 It is a deep mystery. Why does God send torrential rains to flooded areas, yet allow parched ground to remain dry? The mystery deepens as we consider our frailty. When weather turns violent, we are reminded that God is all-powerful, and that our time is short. Today: more on God's responsibility for what we like to term "natural disasters" like the recent Asian tsunami. Stay with us.
