The Helmet Of Salvation, Part 2 of 2 (The Invisible War)

November 11, 2019

When You’ve Been Wronged
Conflict in relationships is inevitable, but healing and reconciliation often is not. Time and again we've tried every option and failed, and all we are left with is a load of guilt and pain. Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows how the blessing the Lord gives to those who suffer unjustly is worth the pain involved. He also illustrates the need to leave our broken relationships in the hands of God and move forward in our lives toward freedom. Inner peace is much more than just a sense of well-being. Its basis is what Paul calls “the Gospel of peace.” This good news gives us assurance of a future that will transcend our daily troubles. Are you experiencing the peace of God today?

It’s one thing to believe that the righteousness of Jesus can be credited to our account before a holy God, but it’s another to keep on living with that in mind when we find ourselves sinning every day. How can we wear “The Breastplate of Righteousness”?

Satan the accuser points to Christians and says “Look at you. You sinned again. You have no right to stand before a holy God. There’s no hope you’ll ever see heaven.” But there is one way to stop his foul mouth cold.

Satan’s first lie was “Has God said…” planting seeds of doubt. He’s still hissing that same old song, trying to get believers to either doubt the Scriptures or ignore them altogether. It’s all a part of his strategy in “The Invisible War.”

The Lord gives believers several weapons to use in fighting “The Invisible War.” Paul names them in Ephesians 6, in a list he calls “the armor of God.” Let’s receive some basic training concerning how to use weapon number one.

Demonic forces wage a battle against the saints of God on a daily basis, a battle that won’t end until we enter eternity. What is our job? We need to learn to use God’s weapons, so that we may share in the ultimate victory.
