When You’ve Been Wronged
Conflict in relationships is inevitable, but healing and reconciliation often is not. Time and again we've tried every option and failed, and all we are left with is a load of guilt and pain. Pastor Erwin Lutzer shows how the blessing the Lord gives to those who suffer unjustly is worth the pain involved. He also illustrates the need to leave our broken relationships in the hands of God and move forward in our lives toward freedom. Society has no answers for the paralyzing burden of guilt many people carry. Beset by a crushing load, they face each new day with yesterday’s emotional baggage. In this message from Zechariah 3, we meet three participants in a combat with the devil as he stands accusing us before God. Only God has the answer and the ability to remove guilt from us.

When we sin greatly, many of us flee from God. Sin takes us where we really don’t want to go, leaving us alone and destitute. In this message, we realize two lessons from the waiting Father and his wayward prodigals. Despite any reluctance we feel, why don’t we run to God in the first place?

Can we sin too greatly to receive God’s forgiveness? In this message from Luke 15, we see snapshots from the prodigal son’s downward journey to the far country. Repairing sin’s damage means reestablishing contact with our Father God and rebuilding relationships. As it’s been said, “Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.”

Why are believers in Jesus Christ told to “give thanks in everything”? Some wonder if this means we’re to be thankful for calamity. In this message, we sharpen our focus on why we can, and must, be thankful. Let’s discover why and how we can rejoice no matter the circumstances.

The Bible tells us to give thanks in everything. Does this mean we must be thankful for illness or loss? In this message, we learn why the Bible’s command to be thankful makes sense even when we don’t understand our circumstances. We can be content with what we have every day of the year.

Many believe the myth that we are in control. But, like clay in the potter’s hand, we are being shaped by God. In this message, we examine God’s purposes through the stresses and challenges of life. His purpose will take us through the fire so that we become a useful vessel for Him.

Most of us go about our business, thinking we’re in control of our lives. But God sets the agenda, and He knows what is best. In this message, we study the imagery of clay on a potter’s wheel, being molded to suit the Potter’s purposes. Imagine how this paradigm shift will shape our love for God and others!

We may never understand why we must suffer. Job was never completely told why but he learned to believe God would meet the deepest needs of his heart. In this message, we consider three lessons to soothe a suffering heart. Can we trust God even in those areas where we see no purpose whatsoever?

We seek a reason for our pain, and perhaps only the life to come will show us all the answers we crave. For Job, he developed a new perspective on God, deepening in his worship. In this message from Job 42, we uncover three benefits Job’s trial had on his life. Beyond our pain is God Himself.

We were not created to bear the load of all the anxiety we carry. In the middle of his unpredictable suffering, Job heard the voice of God in a whirlwind. In this message, Job realized how he’d underestimated God and overestimated himself. If we’re going through unspeakable pain, we too must listen to God’s voice amid our anxious thoughts.
